"Impossible?" 0
I opened my phone and played a recording. 0
It was a conversation between Chu Yue and the driver. 0

"Remember, you must kill her." 0
Chu Yue's voice came through clearly. 0
"I've already transferred the money to you, make it clean." 0

The living room fell into a dead silence. 0
My parents' faces turned from pale to ashen. 0

"Now do you believe me?" 0
I put away my phone. "The White Lotus you carefully nurtured is actually a thorny Black Rose." 0

"Sister..." 0
Chu Yue walked down from upstairs. 0
Upon seeing me, her face instantly turned pale. 0

"What are you afraid of?" I sneered, 0
"I'm not going to reveal your true colors to our parents." 0
"Aren't you the best at acting? Keep it up." 0

"Sister, you're right." 0
Chu Yue suddenly spoke, her voice laced with malice. 0
"I did it on purpose, so what?" 0

My parents looked at her in shock. " Ruyue, you..." 0

"Yes, I wanted to kill her!" 0
Chu Yue shouted frantically, 0
"Why should she be superior just because she's the biological daughter?" 0

"I've worked so hard all these years just to make you hate her, to abandon her!" 0

So much has happened this week. After Chu Yue's true colors were revealed, my parents knelt on the ground begging for my forgiveness. But I had already made up my mind to leave. Some wounds cannot be healed with just an apology. 0

"Miss Gu." Lu Shihan suddenly spoke with a serious tone, his voice carrying an undeniable firmness. "Once I finish my work here, I will go to B City to find you." 0

I was taken aback and met his earnest gaze. "Why?" 0

"Because I promised to be with you." He took my hand, the warmth of his palm bringing a comforting sensation to my heart. "I never lie." 0

The announcement for the train's arrival echoed through the station. I picked up my luggage and turned to leave. 0

"Wait." Lu Shihan suddenly grabbed my hand. He pulled out a small box from his pocket. 0

"What is this?" 0

"A talisman," he said softly. "I had someone get it from the most effective temple." "I hope it can protect you." 0

"That's good." He paused for a moment. "I'm almost done with my work here. In two weeks, I can go to B City." 0

As I was speaking, my phone suddenly received a WeChat message. 0

It was from Chu Yue: 0
"Big sister, help me..." 0

I frowned. 0
She hadn't contacted me for the past month. Why was she suddenly sending such a message? 0

"What's wrong?" Lu Shihan noticed my unease. 0

"Nothing, just a message from Chu Yue," I replied casually. 0

"Be careful," he warned. "Don't let her trick you." 0

After hanging up, I opened Chu Yue's message. 0
She had sent a video. 0
In the video, she was surrounded by several men, looking quite distressed. 0

"Big sister, I owe Usury..." 0
"They want me to sell myself to pay off the debt..." 0
"Please, I beg you to save me..." 0

I stared at the video for a long time. 0
Chu Yue in the footage indeed looked very disheveled; her makeup was a mess, and her clothes were torn and ragged. 0
But something felt off. 0

Just then, I noticed a detail. 0
The wallpaper in the background of the video was identical to that in the living room of Gu Family Villa. This wasn't shot outside; it was filmed at home. 0

"Big sister, you’re here..." 0

"Chu Yue's voice emerged from the darkness. She looked disheveled, her hair a mess and her clothes tattered. 0

"Stop pretending," I said coldly. "How many times have you played this trick?" 0

Chu Yue paused for a moment, then revealed a sinister smile. "It seems you've seen through me." 0

With a snap of her fingers, several burly men stepped out from the shadows. "Sister, you have disappointed me greatly. I was hoping to put on a good show, but you are just not cooperating." 0

"So what now?" I scanned the surroundings. "What do you want?" 0

"Very simple." Chu Yue produced a document. "Sign this." 0

I took a glance at it; it was a stock transfer agreement. So that was her plan—she wanted the 20% shares of the Gu that I held. 0

"I see what you're after," I chuckled. "But unfortunately, you've got the wrong person." 0
