The man landed the helicopter in a private estate. When Su Xing was forced out, she saw a man with an Eastern face dressed in riding attire, approaching on horseback, stirring up clouds of dust from afar. 0

The place seemed heavily guarded, but aside from the apparent owner, who looked like he was from Hua Country, the other guards were all foreigners. The man reined in his horse in front of Su Xing, casually sizing her up before nodding to his men. 0

He turned and rode away, and Su Xing noticed the man who had brought her here receiving a check with an amount full of zeros. No one spoke throughout the entire process, but only one thought echoed in Su Xing's mind: Am I being sold abroad? 0

The people here no longer treated Su Xing as carelessly as before. It seemed they lacked confidence in keeping her secure, as they shackled her hands and feet with electronic cuffs. 0

Soon after, Su Xing was shoved into a pitch-black vehicle. Inside sat three large men with dark skin, making the interior feel even darker. 0

Su Xing realized that struggling or crying out would do her no good; it would only put her in greater danger. She could only keep her mouth shut and silently pray for divine intervention, hoping for a hero to rescue her. If that wasn't possible, she at least wished not to die too tragically. 0

If only she had agreed to marry Shen Jingyu earlier, she could have avoided this fate and not ended up as a wandering spirit after death. Moreover, this morning he was supposed to come pick her up to obtain their marriage certificate. Now that it was already afternoon, would he notice she was missing? Would he think she was deliberately avoiding him? 0

Su Xing truly felt the bitter taste of self-inflicted suffering. She had no idea where she was; outside, the sky was bright, but she couldn't tell how far away she was from home. 0

The vehicle seemed to have undergone some special treatment; Su Xing tried to observe the architecture outside to deduce where she might be. However, there were barriers in front and the rear windows blurred her view. 0

As time passed, it grew darker inside the vehicle. Su Xing sensed they were going downhill and winding around several turns. It must be some underground location. 0

When the car door opened, a wave of damp heat mixed with a foul odor assaulted Su Xing's nostrils. She nearly retched at the smell. The alcohol from last night still lingered in her system, and having not eaten all day made it worse; throwing up now would be disastrous, so she forced herself to hold it in. 0

The group of men handed over Su Xing, seemingly receiving a sum of money in return. However, it appeared to be a stack of unfamiliar banknotes from an unknown country, far less than what had just been paid to the assassin. Wasn't this a loss for them? 0

Su Xing sensed the oddity of the situation, particularly regarding her selling price. In the blink of an eye, she found a gun pressed against her lower back, urging her down a corridor. 0

The ground was made of dark slate, and on either side of the corridor were cages lined up in rows. Every meter or so, there were beams of dim light illuminating the high walls, making it impossible to see the full extent of the place. The pungent smell she had noticed earlier was likely from the people confined within, who must have been relieving themselves indiscriminately in their cages. 0

As Su Xing looked around, she saw faces of all kinds, mostly women with hollow gazes who seemed indifferent to the arrival of a new person. It was no wonder; they all appeared to be at the end of their rope, likely consumed by despair. 0

She was shoved into a relatively clean large cage that contained two other women who seemed somewhat better off. Once the guards left, one of the women huddled closer and looked at Su Xing with a hint of longing. 0

"Are you from Hua Country?" Su Xing guessed based on her appearance. Seeing that the girl wanted to speak with her, she took the initiative. 0

The woman nodded, her large eyes gazing innocently at Su Xing, filled with complex emotions. 0

"Do you know where this place is? Or would you be willing to tell me how you ended up here?" 0

Su Xing believed that if she wanted to seek any chance of survival, she needed to understand this place better. If she could find an ally, that would be even better! 0

"I'm an international student. This is Western Country. I had a terrible boyfriend who was a drug addict. When he ran out of money, he sold me and my Hua Country friend here." 0

"This is a Slave Auction House," she continued. "Every night they auction off ordinary slaves—essentially missing persons—providing details like blood type and medical reports. Since you're new here, they'll probably come to draw your blood soon." 0

"But today is Sunday," she added. "There’s a big auction every week. The reason you’ve been put in this cage is that you’re beautiful. If a wealthy person takes an interest in you, there will be bidding until you’re taken away." 0

"So you were chosen for this place?" Su Xing glanced toward a corner where another woman appeared disheveled and worn out. Why was she in this cage? 0

Yes, my friend was taken away last night and has not returned since. 0

The girl suppressed her sobs with great effort, fearing that a careless sound might attract the guards here, which would be troublesome. All of this was told to me by that sister. 0

She had it worse; she was chosen and taken away, but the wealthy man rejected her for not being a virgin. He violated her and then sent her here. Now, she experiences an auction almost every week, followed by more violations. 0

Su Xing felt as if his heart was being squeezed into a lump; this place was simply a den of horrors! 0

So, are you a virgin? 0

The girl looked young, but her question was direct enough. Su Xing had never been asked so bluntly before, and he felt awkward, unsure of how to respond. The girl seemed to understand immediately. 0

This might very well be your only chance. If you can be bought by a wealthy man, you are pretty enough; perhaps that would be your best way out. 0

Su Xing's heart sank: does such a slave market really exist in the Western Country? Isn't it supposed to be a developed nation? 0

Ha! I thought the same before coming here for school. I envisioned endless beautiful outcomes, but once I arrived, I realized that beauty belongs to the rich, and their pleasures are the nightmares of the lower class. 0

Moreover, this place isn't even the darkest of all. 0

Time is running out. 0

The woman in the corner suddenly spoke; her voice was hoarse, as if she had found calm after despair. 0

You can't die here; it's their cage. There’s nothing sharp inside; you can’t even die from banging against the walls. Once you get out, many will be watching, and they all have guns. 0

If you don’t want to live anymore, just run out the door; the snipers are accurate with their shots. Two were shot dead here last night. 0

Su Xing's fleeting thoughts of escape were instantly crushed in their cradle. Just after the girl finished speaking, the iron door in the distance swung open. 0

The footsteps grew closer, each step like a drumbeat, striking heavily against Su Xing's heart. 0
