Mu Beiyao shrugged, “Whatever you want; you’re not relying on that income anyway. Just send out a message and once the hype dies down, things will settle!” Now even her mother had learned about Su Xing from social media; if she wanted peace again, it might take a while!
However, just as Su Xing sent out her message, another one from Shen Jingyu caught everyone’s attention: “I won’t let the woman I love seek attention or entertain the public.”
The entire day had passed without any contact, and yet he was still online playing that game! Mu Beiyao, upon seeing this, couldn't help but mock: "Oh, so you finally know which side you should be on!" Although he hadn't clarified his relationship with Han Ruoxi, it was clear he was acknowledging your position!

She shared a picture of her favorite snacks spread out on a table.

Qin Bing: "I have a case to handle. How about I join you all next month for Su Xing's birthday?"
Everyone chimed in: "Yeah right! Who knows what case you'll be tangled up in next? With your workaholic schedule, none of us dare to hope!"
Su Xing: "Thanks, Xiao Bingbing! You helped me vent my frustrations while I was drunk yesterday!"
"I'll treat you to your favorite spicy crayfish later!"
Mu Beiyao raised an eyebrow. "Hey, why didn't you thank me? I spent the whole night with Lao Qin last night!"
Su Xing tilted her head to look at her. "But you weren't by my side! I’ll thank you with my fiery looks; feel free to admire me up close!"
Su Xing puffed her cheeks out, as if to give Mu Beiyao a good look.
Lu Xiangyi raised an eyebrow. "Sister Xing, you’re getting bolder! It seems this romance hasn’t affected you much at all! The outdoor horseback riding I arranged for that day was supposed to be a relaxing outing for you. Are we canceling it now?"
Su Xing straightened her lips into a straight line. "Thanks, Xiangyi! But from now on, no more thrilling activities for me. I'm getting old, and my heart can't keep up with your pace!"
Lu Xiangyi chuckled. "Tsk tsk, even as an older woman, your love life is still so passionate. I’m envious! We must go horseback riding by the beach and off-roading in the jungle when I get back! I've already made plans! We’ll set off tomorrow morning!"
"I can't believe how dull your lives are without me around. Now that I'm back, just watch out!"
Lu Xiangyi was full of enthusiasm; she was two years younger than Su Xing and seemed perpetually full of energy in their presence.
Su Xing glanced at the time. "Alright, you should rest up now that you're back. I need to meet someone at the bar and will join you later! I'm off!"
Qin Bing smiled throughout but kept her eyes glued to the computer screen. When her assistant came looking for her, she bid farewell as well. "I’m off too!"
The group chat ended. Mu Beiyao frowned at Su Xing, who was getting up. "Maybe you shouldn’t go. My right eyelid is twitching, and I feel uneasy."
"What's there to be afraid of? My self-defense skills are decent. Besides, we live in a law-abiding society; a bunch of unruly fans really can’t disrupt their own lives just to chase after Han Ruoxi!"
Su Xing didn’t believe in such superstitions.
"Just stay home and wait for Xiangyi. Once that girl returns, she’ll definitely brag about what new thrilling activity she learned!"
"See you later."
As Su Xing spoke, she grabbed her car keys and headed out.
Mu Beiyao watched her retreating figure with a sigh that blew lightly against her brows.
"Once a man enters the picture, everything gets chaotic."
Left at home waiting for Lu Xiangyi, Mu Beiyao's mind drifted restlessly.
