"Are you two trying to die?" Mu Beiyao spoke coldly.
Su Xing and Lu Xiangyi burst into laughter immediately. "What are you feeling guilty about? You're just anxious to hide the truth!"
Mu Beiyao was left speechless. "You two are really something!"
What kind of situation is this? You both still have the leisure to gossip? Mu Beiyao feigned a show of bravado, which only made the other two women laugh even harder.
After a hearty meal and indulging in some gossip, Su Xing and Lu Xiangyi regained their fighting spirit! However, after enduring another night, they both felt a vague discomfort in their bodies.
The next morning, only Su Xing emerged from the tent, stretching lazily.
"Su Xing, don’t you feel unwell?" Lu Xiangyi seemed to be the other one who had been overlooked.
"I’m fine! What’s wrong with them?" Su Xing immediately thought of Mu Beiyao and Lu Xiangyi.
"They're resting! The doctor just came by to draw blood! They both have fevers over a hundred degrees!"
"I don’t feel anything," Su Xing vaguely sensed that it might be the virus affecting his body.
"The medical team is researching it now. Aside from taking precautions, we can only wait!" Su Xing had only brought a mask with him.
Previously, he thought that if he fell ill, wearing protective gear wouldn’t help much anyway.
Su Xing took out his phone and dialed Shen Jingyu's number. After a long wait, Shen finally picked up. Su Xing asked urgently, "How's it going over there?"
"And you?" Shen Jingyu almost spoke at the same time.
Then they both answered simultaneously, "I’m fine! All good!"
Qin Yi has already come to participate in the research, Shen Jingyu mentioned.
Suddenly, Su Xing remembered, "Let him study the virus in my body together with his! Everyone here has collapsed except for me!"
"I suspect this plague might be malicious! Otherwise, why would I be the only one not reacting?"

Su Xing hesitated before saying, "Maybe I should just take care of myself!"

The sudden confession made Su Xing's heart race wildly! It felt like his face was burning beneath the mask.
"Me too," Su Xing said, unsure how he ended the call. The feeling of his cheeks burning lingered for quite some time.
What followed was a relentless barrage of notifications ringing in Su Xing's ears.
The number of bizarre deaths in the factory was increasing. Then, during the transportation of the bodies, they went missing!
Su Xing's eyes widened in terror. "What do you mean the bodies are missing?"
He Ping, forcing himself to report, said, "We sent everyone to the designated incineration site outside. This inexplicable virus needs to be dealt with by the higher-ups. But after we sent them, we noticed that the number of bodies was continuously decreasing!"
Yet they had no idea who was stealing them!
"Are you kidding? Could it be something supernatural?" Su Xing didn't believe in such nonsense; it had to be someone manipulating the situation!
The president had already placed several people there to keep watch, but they still hadn't caught whoever was stealing the bodies.
Lost in thought, Su Xing picked up his phone and called home. "Mom, has anyone contacted you in the past couple of days?"
Lawrence seemed to have disappeared! He Xiaoqing's words confirmed what Su Xing had already suspected. This incident was definitely connected to him!
Shen Jingyu must have guessed it too! Perhaps he was already tracking down leads!
"Continue to strengthen our defenses! If anyone feels unwell, don't push yourself; take a break!" Su Xing wasn't a cold-hearted fascist; there were no strict rules here that people had to follow. In this situation, no one felt comfortable! He could only keep an eye on things himself.
But it seemed like Lu Xiangzhuang was also fine.

Their important people were here! They felt guilty enough for not taking care of them and couldn’t afford any delays in checking on them. Their hearts were racing with anxiety.
The bright headlights blinded Su Xing as he raised his hand to shield his eyes. The car door opened and closed several times with a loud sound.
Shen Jingyu walked over without saying a word and pulled Su Xing up from the chair, holding him tightly in his embrace.
"Star, I have to go on a business trip."
Su Xing firmly hugged him back, pressing his face against Shen Jingyu's, feeling their shared warmth.
"Take care of yourself! I’m still here, waiting for you!" Su Xing seemed to find solace in his words, calming his own heart. It felt like an immense sense of security! This embrace was enough to comfort their souls.
"Trust me, we will definitely get through this!" Shen Jingyu promised, a commitment he held firmly in his heart.
"How is Xiang Yi doing? Brother!" Rong Xigu had called Lu Xiangzhuang in such a formal manner before, but this time, there was mutual understanding between the two.
"We need to check on him; he seems a bit disoriented! Also, Mu Beiyao," Lu Xiangzhuang said as he turned to see Mu Beiming approaching. "You should go in and take a look too! But make sure you all take precautions!"
"We’ve basically developed a blocking agent! We’ve already conducted some experiments. If everything goes well, everyone should be able to use it in a few days."
This could be considered good news they brought along!
Su Xing gradually felt a sense of relief!
"Has Qin Yi figured it out?" Su Xing asked.

Shen Jingyu only wanted to see him more: "I don’t know how many days I’ll be gone. You must stay safe during this time!"
Su Xing interrupted him, "No need to repeat yourself; I’ll handle everything else! You don’t need to worry about me!"
