"Stop right there!" Mu Beiyao called out today, her voice lacking its usual confidence.
"What? You think you can hold your brother from using the bathroom? That's a bit too domineering, isn't it?"
"I know you don't have any slippers for your parents, so I specifically asked Mom to prepare three pairs. Sister, with your strong opinions and lack of love for home, it seems we'll just have to visit you more often!"
"My brother is so considerate, and yet you can bear to keep me from even using the restroom?"
Mu Beiyao rubbed her forehead and pinched her temples. Her parents had indeed prepared their own slippers, and then they came in carrying a bunch of things.
"Yaoyao, who brought this food at the door? It's still warm!"
"Yaoyao? And these men's leather shoes at the entrance were discovered by Du's Dad first!"
Mu Beiming, her silly younger brother, must have been really anxious to use the bathroom; he didn't even notice such a big piece of evidence.
Under her parents' scrutiny, Mu Beiyao felt the pressure. Just like that, they had found out that she had just confirmed her relationship yesterday—would they believe it?
The main issue was that he was taking a shower in her bathroom.
"Mu Beiyao, is my assistant here to deliver clothes? Can you send them up for me? I'm done!"
A male voice came from upstairs, leaving the family of four downstairs in shock.
"Why don’t you help me out and bring them up?" Mu Beiyao looked at her brother with an expression that was quite telling.
"Hmph!" Mu Beiming huffed heavily. The voice was familiar, and it wasn't hard to guess who that assistant at the door was!
"So soon to be in the inner sanctum? Should I bring Mom and Dad next time? By then, your belly will probably be showing!"
As soon as those words left his mouth, Mu Beiyao punched him hard: "Stop talking nonsense and hurry up!"
Fine, as the older sister, she could only maintain her awkwardness for three seconds before returning to her usual self!
Lu Xiangzhuang never expected to encounter such an embarrassing scene in his life! After hearing the knock on the door, thankfully he said: "Just hang it on the door; that way you won’t feel embarrassed. I’ll take it after you come out."

Mu Beiming didn’t dwell on it too much. As they went downstairs, he kindly reminded him: You’re quite lucky! You have parents looking out for you!

Lu Xiangzhuang quickly explained, "Uncle, Auntie, it's my fault. I just started dating Yaoyao yesterday. His body hasn't fully recovered yet, and his sleep schedule is a bit off, so I stayed with him for the night. I intended to visit you at a better time, but I didn't expect to run into you early!"
Mu Beiyao's mother was supportive of her daughter finally finding a boyfriend after so many years, especially since he was such an outstanding man! Lu Xiangzhuang had good character! She never imagined he would take an interest in her daughter. Meeting like this meant they were destined to be together! They were about to become one family; the connection was definitely not shallow!
"Come over and have breakfast with us! I made plenty of chicken soup!" she called out. "I've heard that Mu Beiming has been running his mouth; he already mentioned that his sister is being well taken care of by someone! I thought it was just some little puppy boyfriend who could take care of her? But it turns out to be a big wolf, a cold CEO!"
Mu Beiyao looked at her aunt and wanted to scratch her head. Was this tendency to speak without thinking inherited? Lu Xiangzhuang found his girlfriend adorable! If he really thought of himself as a Big Wolf Dog one day, Lu Xiangzhuang would wake up laughing from his dreams.
He hoped he wouldn’t have to wait too long!
At the dining table, Mu Beiyao's father was witnessing how Lu Xiangzhuang took care of people. Seeing is believing; although Mu Beiming often said things without embellishment, his evaluation of Lu Xiangzhuang was still high. Even though he hadn’t mentioned her name upon arriving, if they had someone like him as their son-in-law, the couple would surely wake up smiling from their dreams! They would have no regrets even after a hundred years!
Lu Xiangzhuang carefully picked out the impurities from the chicken soup. Since Mu Beiyao didn’t like chicken skin, he removed it for her. However, he left the goji berries and jujubes in the spoon and coaxed her to eat them.
Mu Beiming watched and felt a pang of jealousy; his sister had been able to feed herself since she was three! Of course, this was something he had heard from their mother!
Then Mu Beiming turned around and saw that their parents were also staring in awe! It was as if Zhang Ji Niang was looking at her son-in-law, becoming more and more satisfied with each glance!
"I told you, if Lu Xiangzhuang didn’t step into our house, Mom and Dad wouldn’t agree! He rushed over early in the morning to support us; this must be fate!"
