Zhu Man jumped out of the car and immediately ran forward, followed closely by Shi Shaowen and Shen Jingyu. They parked the vehicle hastily on the roadside. No one knew if either of the cars had bombs installed, so they had to escape as quickly as possible!
In just a few steps, Shi Shaowen quickly caught up with Zhu Man. Drawing on his special training and experience, Shen Jingyu glanced at the back of Zhu Man's car and urgently warned, "Get down and roll off the road!"
The road was flanked by tall trees providing cover, and the steep slope led down to a patch of wild grass on either side, making it the best option under the circumstances.
Though Shi Shaowen lacked such experience, he trusted Shen Jingyu's judgment completely. Without hesitation, he grabbed Zhu Man and dove down the slope. As they rolled down, he held onto her tightly, flipping over to shield her with his body.
Shen Jingyu sprinted down with agile strides. Standing there with his arms crossed, he almost burst out laughing at the sight of Shi Shaowen desperately trying to take advantage of someone in such a precarious situation! He quickly snapped a photo to send to his wife—Su Xing would have a new piece of gossip! These past few days had been quite entertaining; even pregnancy was not lonely!
In an unfortunate twist of fate, Shi Shaowen ended up pressing his lips against Zhu Man's mouth. When she finally regained her senses, feeling sore all over and cramping in her legs, she raised her hand and slapped him across the face!
"You rogue! Do you think you can just pin down a princess?" Zhu Man fumed, ready to retaliate against Shi Shaowen.
But Shen Jingyu suddenly thought: Shouldn’t we deal with this later? Those people behind them would be here any moment! Was it really the right time to take him down?
Zhu Man smirked mischievously. "Leave him here; I’m not running that fast anyway."
Shi Shaowen exclaimed in disbelief, "What an insult! You’re trampling on my dignity and my fighting spirit!"
Shen Jingyu resolutely refused to engage in their pointless squabble. He could hear footsteps approaching; those people were closing in! It was clear that they would either see them alive or find their bodies!
The car had indeed exploded, flames roaring as they engulfed it. The attackers saw this and without hesitation dove over the guardrail towards them!
"Fools!" Zhu Man said coldly as she pushed Shi Shaowen aside and sprang up from where they had fallen.
"Oh you foolish woman!" Shi Shaowen thought he might scream in pain! Whether intentional or not, as Zhu Man stood up, her hand inadvertently landed on Shi Shaowen's sensitive area!
At that moment, he didn’t have time to howl in pain; rolling on the ground was already his way of saving face!
Shen Jingyu shook his head in disbelief. Just as those attackers drew near, he reached out to pull his brother back up.
Fueled by anger, Shi Shaowen then unleashed all his frustration on the eight men charging at them!
They fought as if their lives depended on it, firing at guns and striking with blades, giving their opponents no respite. After a fierce battle, Zhu Man realized he had run out of options. Could it be that this man had been struck through the meridians by his own blows?
"Speak! Who sent you?" Shi Shaowen demanded, pressing his foot down on one of the attackers' faces, forcing the other side to grind against the ground.
The coldness in his voice was terrifying on this sunny morning.
Zhu Man leisurely answered for the man on the ground, "Is there even a need to ask? Anyone with half a brain would know who was in power yesterday and who has lost their freedom now. Who was it that was suddenly stripped of authority?"
"That would be Emil's chief minister!" Shi Shaowen replied. "Tell my father that the father of that cheap son of his is looking for someone! He should find a moment to make this public."
Shi Shaowen added, "You want me to say something so difficult to voice? Have you grown a conscience? That man is my future father-in-law! He’s the one in charge here!"
Shen Jingyu instructed his men to clean up the scene and arranged for Shi Shaowen's guards to handle the aftermath of his reckless fighting style. As for himself and Zhu Man, they boarded a private plane without delay.
When Su Xing received news about the incident in the country, Shen Jingyu only sent her a message assuring her of his safety, but didn’t share any further details, which left her anxious. She paced around her home all afternoon, nearly flattening the grass in the yard.
Finally, a familiar car arrived, but the news it brought was that Shen Jingyu had gone to Lin City.
Su Xing couldn't help but ask, "Is he safe? After getting off the plane, he sent a brief message and even sent someone to bring Li over. Who can feel at ease with that?"
"Don't worry, Sister-in-law! The boss can handle these issues without breaking a sweat! He left in quite a hurry and specifically asked me to bring you this gift box so you wouldn’t be too anxious waiting."
"A gift box?" Su Xing questioned.
When did this person start bringing gifts on business trips? She found it quite intriguing!

Meanwhile, Shen Jingyu was indeed in a rush to get to Lin City because Gu Tao's whereabouts were not easy to track down. After changing planes multiple times, he and Zhu Man arrived at a secluded estate.
The back mountain appeared to be an abandoned helipad, yet five fully operational fighter jets were parked there.
As Zhu Man landed, she felt a powerful impact that sent a sharp pain through her head. Shen Jingyu, unaffected by the surroundings, noticed something was wrong with Zhu Man. He instructed two people to stay with her on the plane while he took the other two into the estate to investigate.
This place is right! My mother might be here! Shen, this is urgent! Zhu Man's eyes were filled with determination, but her condition was far from good.
Shen Jingyu nodded, "I will find your grandfather Gu Tao and explain the situation to him!"
Under the moonlight, Shen Jingyu dashed through a fence that separated him from a dense forest. It felt as if there was some special power lingering in this area. Just when he found himself at a loss for direction, he spotted a black cave emitting a bright light from within.
As he approached the cave, he heard hollow voices echoing from inside.
