Leon and Theodore groped their way through the dark, fog-laden corridor, each step filled with uncertainty and danger. Their heartbeats echoed in the silence, and their breaths quickened with tension. Leon clutched the sharp stone he had taken from the cell, their only weapon, while Theodore remained vigilant, scanning the surroundings for any signs of imminent threat lurking within the mist. 0

Suddenly, a low growl resonated ahead, as if some ferocious beast lay in wait within the shadows. Leon and Theodore froze, their bodies tensing as they prepared to face whatever danger approached. As the sound grew louder, a massive figure slowly emerged from the fog—a gigantic Mastiff. Its eyes glinted with a fierce light, revealing sharp fangs as iron chains rattled around its neck, seemingly ready to break free and pounce on them. 0

“Be careful!” Leon shouted, positioning himself protectively in front of Theodore. The Mastiff lunged forward with a sudden ferocity. Leon swiftly sidestepped and swung the stone at the beast’s head. The Mastiff deftly dodged the attack and turned to charge again, its claws scratching deep grooves into the ground. 0

“We can’t just stand here taking hits!” Theodore yelled, glancing around desperately. He spotted a fallen branch nearby and quickly picked it up, swinging it at the Mastiff to distract it. The creature turned its attention to Theodore, allowing Leon to maneuver behind it. With all his strength, he brought the stone crashing down onto the Mastiff’s back. The beast yelped in pain but continued its assault with renewed fury. 0

In the heat of battle, Leon noticed that the Mastiff’s neck was its weak point. Seizing an opportunity as the creature lunged at Theodore once more, he dashed forward and thrust the stone into its throat. The Mastiff struggled briefly before collapsing to the ground, motionless. 0

Panting heavily, Leon and Theodore barely had time to catch their breath when they heard hurried footsteps approaching from down the corridor. “Oh no, it’s the guards!” Theodore said anxiously. Leon glanced at the fallen Mastiff and hatched a plan. He quickly unfastened the iron chain from around its neck, wrapping one end around his hand while gripping the other end as a weapon. 0

Moments later, several guards appeared in their line of sight. The lead guard’s expression shifted dramatically upon seeing the downed Mastiff. “You two prisoners dare to resist! Today is your last day!” he shouted before charging toward Leon and Theodore with his comrades. 0

Leon swung the chain overhead, creating arcs in the air that whistled ominously. The guards hesitated to approach recklessly, circling them cautiously instead. “Theodore, let’s charge out together!” Leon yelled. Theodore nodded in agreement; armed with his branch, he stood back-to-back with Leon, ready for the impending confrontation. 0

One guard lunged first, brandishing a longsword aimed at Leon. With deftness, Leon ensnared the sword with his chain and yanked it hard, causing the guard to stumble forward. Seizing the moment, Theodore struck fiercely at the guard's face with his branch. The guard cried out in pain and recoiled. 0

Seeing this, other guards rushed in to surround them. In the narrow corridor shrouded in mist, Leon and Theodore fought valiantly against their attackers. Leon’s chain moved like a swift serpent, targeting vital points on their foes while Theodore skillfully disrupted their advances with his branch. 0

As fatigue began to weigh heavily on him during this fierce struggle, Leon's resolve remained unyielding. He recalled his family’s honor and thoughts of Alice and Oliver fueled his determination to keep fighting. Gritting his teeth, he summoned every last ounce of strength to wield his chain relentlessly. 0

After an intense battle filled with chaos and determination, they finally managed to repel the guards. 0

Leon and Theodore had sustained some minor injuries, but they paid no attention to the pain as they continued deeper into the passage. 0
