After a brief period of rest following their initial attempt, Leon and Theodore conducted a thorough review and optimization of their battle plan. They understood that the next confrontation with the the Claudie Family would be even more intense, leaving no room for error.
Days later, the sky remained overcast, as if a storm was imminent. Leon and Theodore gathered their family forces once again, preparing to launch a new offensive. This time, their target was an important warehouse where the the Claudie Family stored supplies. If they could successfully destroy this location, it would significantly weaken the the Claudie Family's war reserves.
Leading the vanguard, Leon moved swiftly toward the warehouse under the cover of night. His emotions were a mix of tension and excitement; the stakes of this operation were high, and any misstep could lead to disaster. Yet, after the previous battle, he had gained a deeper understanding of the the Claudie Family's tactics and felt confident about this mission.
As they approached the warehouse, an eerie silence enveloped them, with not a single sound to indicate danger. However, Leon's keen intuition sensed something was amiss. "Everyone be careful; there may be an ambush," he whispered to the soldiers beside him.
No sooner had he spoken than flames erupted around the warehouse, illuminating Leon's troops in a harsh light. Suddenly, waves of the Claudie Family soldiers surged from all directions, surrounding them completely.
"We've fallen into a trap!" Leon cursed inwardly but quickly regained his composure and organized his soldiers for defense. "Brothers, stay calm! Form a defensive formation and prepare for battle!"
Under Leon's command, the soldiers quickly gathered to form a tight circular defense. The the Claudie Family soldiers charged like a tide, brandishing weapons and attacking fiercely against their formation. Standing at the forefront, Leon wielded his longsword with precision; each swing was accompanied by the cries of fallen enemies. His eyes reflected determination and resolve, resembling an unyielding mountain.
Meanwhile, Theodore's main force also faced fierce resistance from the the Claudie Family. On their way to support Leon, they were intercepted by an elite cavalry unit. Theodore surveyed the cavalry before him and understood that this battle would be tough.
"Brothers, we cannot retreat! For our family, for Leon, charge!" Theodore shouted as he swung his battle axe and led the charge against the enemy. The cavalry's impact was formidable, but Theodore and his soldiers stood undaunted. They utilized the terrain to their advantage and engaged in skirmishes with the cavalry. Seizing an opportunity, Theodore struck at one cavalryman's horse with his axe; startled, the horse threw its rider off. Without hesitation, Theodore followed up with another strike that ended the cavalryman's life.
In the midst of fierce combat, Leon's vanguard gradually found themselves in dire straits. The enemy numbers swelled, and signs of weakness began to show in their defensive formation. Anxious and desperate, Leon knew that if they did not break through soon, his forces would face annihilation.
At that moment, Leon noticed a gap in one corner of the enemy encirclement. A spark of hope ignited within him as he decided to take a risk. "Brothers, follow me! Charge through this gap!" he shouted as he led a small team of elite soldiers toward the opening.
With Leon at their helm, the soldiers unleashed incredible strength and successfully broke through the enemy's encirclement. Without pausing for breath, Leon guided his troops toward Theodore's position to regroup with the main force.
On Theodore's side, although the battle remained fierce, he gradually gained the upper hand through his excellent command and the soldiers' tenacious resistance. When he saw Leon's troops approaching, his heart soared with joy. "Brothers, Lord Leon has arrived! Let's defeat these enemies together!"
As the two forces joined together, their morale surged. They coordinated closely and launched a final charge against the cavalry of the the Claudie Family. Under the leadership of Leon and Theodore, the soldiers charged like tigers descending a mountain, unstoppable. The the Claudie Family's cavalry began to falter and soon scattered in retreat.
After a fierce struggle, Leon and Theodore finally succeeded in driving back the enemy. They looked at the bodies of their foes strewn across the battlefield, filled with mixed emotions. This intense conflict had come at a heavy cost, but it also strengthened their resolve to defeat the the Claudie Family.
"We did it, Leon!" Theodore exclaimed excitedly.
Leon nodded, a weary yet content smile on his face. "Yes, we succeeded. But this is just the beginning; we have a long way to go."
