After that difficult night, the dawn's light struggled to penetrate the clouds, casting a somber glow over the battered castle. Leon and Theodore rose early, preparing for another day of steadfast defense. They moved through the castle's various corners, assessing the damage to the fortifications and comforting the injured soldiers. 0

"My lord, our wounds are not serious; we can continue to fight!" a wounded soldier gritted his teeth and said firmly. Leon looked at his pale face and the blood-soaked bandages, feeling a mix of admiration and sorrow. "Take care of your injuries; you are all heroes of the family," Leon said softly, patting him on the shoulder. 0

Meanwhile, Theodore stood by the city walls, discussing repair strategies with the craftsmen. Despite the shortage of materials, they brainstormed ways to use the remaining wood and stones within the castle to make makeshift repairs to the damaged walls. "Even if it's just an inch of defense, we must hold our ground," Theodore declared with unwavering determination. 0

As time passed, the the Claudie Family's army launched another attack. This time, they changed their strategy, relying not just on catapults for long-range assaults but also sending in a large number of ladder soldiers attempting to scale the walls. Leon stood atop the battlements, closely watching every move of the enemy. "Prepare boiling oil; pour it down when they get close!" he commanded loudly. 0

As the ladders approached the walls, soldiers followed Leon's orders and poured scalding oil down from above. A chorus of screams erupted from below as the enemy's advance was temporarily halted. However, the the Claudie Family's forces did not relent; they charged again and again, and the battle grew increasingly fierce. 0

During a brief lull in fighting, Leon and Theodore remained concerned about their elite team sent out earlier. "I wonder if they've successfully contacted our allies," Theodore murmured as he gazed into the distance. Leon reassured him with a pat on the shoulder, "They are our family's finest warriors; they will complete their mission. Our job is to hold this castle until reinforcements arrive." 0

However, the situation grew more dire. Supplies within the castle dwindled, and soldiers' stamina began to wane. In a fierce skirmish, Theodore was struck in the arm by an enemy arrow while protecting a young soldier. "Theodore!" Leon rushed over to check his injury. "It's nothing, just a scratch," Theodore gritted his teeth, tearing off a piece of cloth to bandage his wound before rejoining the fight. 0

Leon watched Theodore's back with deep respect. He understood that both he and Theodore were willing to sacrifice everything for their family. In this arduous battle, they were not only leaders but also pillars of strength for their soldiers. 0

As waves of enemy attacks continued relentlessly, the castle's defenses weakened further. During yet another assault, the main gate shuddered under repeated blows from an enemy battering ram. Realizing that they were in a critical situation, Leon quickly gathered all available soldiers for one final stand. 0

"Brothers! We have held out until now; we cannot give up at this moment! Even if only one of us remains, we will fight to the end!" Leon's voice echoed throughout the castle as soldiers responded with determination in their eyes, picking up their weapons. 0

Just then, a soldier suddenly pointed into the distance and shouted, "My lord! Look! An army is coming toward us!" Leon and Theodore hurriedly turned their gaze to see dust rising as a force galloped toward the castle. "It's reinforcements! It must be reinforcements!" Theodore shouted excitedly as soldiers erupted in cheers. 0

Seeing that things were turning against them, the the Claudie Family's army attempted to retreat. Leon and Theodore seized this opportunity; leading their soldiers forward, they launched a counterattack. With support from their reinforcements, they drove back the Claudie Family ’s forces in disarray until they fled in defeat. 0

After the battle, Leon and Theodore stood before the battered castle, gazing at the weary yet smiling soldiers. Their hearts were filled with mixed emotions. The victory in this battle was not only a testament to their steadfastness but also a proof of their family's unity. They understood that although the war was not entirely over, they had taken a significant step forward. In the days to come, they would continue to lead their family, rebuild their home, and restore their family's glory. This arduous battle would forever be etched in their hearts, serving as a source of motivation for their journey ahead. 0
