Suddenly, a voice came from behind Xu Shen, sending a chill down his spine. He remembered the unspoken rule in the company: their manager had a notoriously volatile temper. Anyone who dared to discuss rumors about him could find themselves out of a job in an instant. 0

“Hey, manager, is there something you need? Just let me know, and I’ll take care of it!” he said, trying to sound casual. However, after his words hung in the air, he received no response. This silence only deepened Xu Shen's unease, and an ominous feeling began to creep over him. 0

“Li Yingxue, today this matter concerning Xu Shen will be handled by you. He doesn’t need to deal with it anymore,” the manager finally spoke after a long pause. 0

“Sure, no problem!” Li Yingxue replied, feigning a look of triumph as if he were relishing Xu Shen’s misfortune. 0

In the office, everyone was well aware of the dynamics at play. It was common knowledge that Li Yingxue had cultivated an ambiguous relationship with the manager to secure his position within the company. The manager, Li Yun, was a self-made man who had built the company from the ground up. Although he was now wealthy and respected, he was fundamentally different from the privileged second-generation rich kids; everything he had achieved was through hard work and determination. 0

Officially, the company bore his father's name, but in reality, his father was merely a figurehead. Li Yun handled every detail personally and meticulously. 0

As Xu Shen realized that his words had been ignored by the manager, he understood that someone had undoubtedly stabbed him in the back. Glancing around at his colleagues, he searched for any suspicious faces but dismissed Li Yingxue as a potential culprit. While not exactly virtuous, he didn’t seem capable of such underhanded betrayal. 0

Still seething with anger and determined to uncover the mastermind behind this betrayal, Xu Shen was interrupted once more by the manager’s voice, which targeted him directly. 0

“Why are you still sitting there? Don’t you have any idea what’s going on? Do you need me to help you pack your things?” 0

Xu Shen was taken aback by this statement. He looked up with an innocent expression and stammered, “What do you mean… actually I…” 0
