After speaking, he did not wait for Xu Shen to respond; instead, he directly opened the door and turned to leave the bathroom, leaving Xu Shen alone in that cold and eerie place, feeling disoriented. He couldn't understand what was happening. Could a person's change really happen in an instant? Upon hearing this response, Xu Shen stood silently for a moment, unsure of how to reply. He could only feel that today's Li Yingxue was different from the warm presence he had known before.
"What's wrong, kid? Are you stunned by this sudden tenderness? Or is there some unwillingness in your heart? It seems your emotions aren't particularly high!" The other Li Yingxue spoke coldly. At that moment, Xu Shen had no intention of engaging with him; he was still trying to process the strange feelings within himself. Slowly, he turned toward him and said, "I say, aren’t you meddling a bit too much? What I feel or don’t feel has nothing to do with you!"
Suddenly, it seemed that Li Yingxue was hurt by his words; he appeared very angry and floated downwards. Seeing this, Xu Shen quickly stepped forward, but unexpectedly slipped on the wet floor. Just as he was about to fall forward, he felt something grip his waist.
"What are you doing?" Xu Shen exclaimed in surprise as he looked at the retreating figure. He hadn’t expected to be caught just as he was about to hit the ground.
This action made Xu Shen scrutinize Li Yingxue once more. What did his appearance signify? Why did he want to harm him yet also save him? It was all so contradictory. Were beings from another world all like this?
"I say, can you stop being so self-indulgent here? I never intended to save you! Didn’t I make that clear before? Until I uncover some truths about this situation, no one can harm you. You must also ensure your own safety. Once I know the truth, I’ll decide whether to kill or spare you based on my own feelings!"
"Also, I’m worried that if you fall and get hurt here, when we meet the other Li Yingxue after work, she’ll be concerned about you again. A scoundrel like you doesn’t deserve her worry!"
