Upon hearing such a request, Xu Shen felt an overwhelming sense of helplessness. He even thought that this spirit was truly beyond saving.
"You really are just looking for trouble, aren't you? How could I possibly help with something like this? Honestly, whether someone likes you or not has nothing to do with me!"
In response to Xu Shen's dismissive remarks, the spirit seemed to grow angry. The sound of steel being cut echoed through the living room as the coffee table in front of Xu Shen was split in two. This action felt like a threat directed at him, as if the spirit was warning him that failing to comply with its demands could lead to a dire fate.
"Look at your temper! I haven't even refused you yet. As long as I haven't said no, it means we can still negotiate. And here you are, ruining my furniture in my own home!"
After hearing Xu Shen's sudden outburst, the spirit's expression shifted to one of smug satisfaction as it regarded him.
"From now on, what I say is law. Don't try to bargain with me again. You should know what will happen if you do. Your life is in my hands; I can take it back whenever I want!"
"I can help you, but..." Xu Shen hesitated, wanting to negotiate.
"I told you, my words are commands! No more bargaining! If you dare to keep talking back, I'll throw you out of the window right now!"
As soon as the words left the spirit's mouth, Xu Shen felt an unseen force lift him off the ground and propel him toward the window. Seeing that the spirit was serious and recalling the gruesome sight of someone falling from above earlier, Xu Shen did not want to end up like that.
The thought of such a death terrified him; it was not something he wanted to witness for himself. Faced with this situation, Xu Shen had no choice but to relent. In the face of absolute power, he found himself without any means of resistance.
Thus, he agreed to the spirit's demands. Once he did so, that strange force vanished again. However, since Xu Shen was still suspended in mid-air, the sudden loss of power caused gravity to pull him down hard onto the floor.
He glared angrily at the floating spirit above him. After that fall, for some inexplicable reason, Xu Shen suddenly felt an urgent need to use the restroom.
"Hey! You don't need to follow me to the bathroom, do you?"
Upon hearing this, the spirit displayed a rather intimate smile, seemingly unimpressed by his comment.
Xu Shen hurried into the bathroom and locked several bolts on the door before finally letting out a sigh of relief.
However, after considering these matters, this guy is a soul; he is not an ordinary human. No matter how serious the situation may seem, the two of them could appear before me at any moment through this door.
