Holding onto the memories, Lin Su looked at Night Shadow's captivating face, trying to keep her tone calm and normal.
"Night Shadow, please don't do this."
Night Shadow moved a little closer, softly sighing, "Lin Su, don't be like this."
His almost breathy words felt like an electric shock, sending a tingling sensation through her ears, and tears began to fall.
For a moment, there was a flicker of distraction in Night Shadow's eyes before he furrowed his brow tightly and pulled Lin Su into his embrace.
The long-lost hug and familiar scent made Lin Su's tears flow even more fiercely.
"Lin Su, when you cry, I panic and don’t know what to do."
The thought that soon this embrace—and the person himself—would belong entirely to someone else made Lin Su feel as if her heart was being torn apart.
She pushed him away forcefully, striving to regain her composure. "What brings you here today?"
Night Shadow reached out to wipe away her tears, but Lin Su turned her head to avoid him.
He sighed softly, "I want to choose a system."
"Which system does Night Shadow want to try?"
His slender fingers hovered over two adjacent options: the True Love System and the Summoning System.
Lin Su's heart sank further, a wave of bitterness rising within her that she struggled to suppress.
"Does Night Shadow want to experience it with someone he likes?"
Night Shadow gazed at Lin Su, his eyes clear and deep as the night sky. "Yes."
Lin Su's fingers trembled above the keyboard, her heart dropping to the pit of her stomach as she gradually found it hard to breathe.
She forced herself to speak, her voice trembling like falling pearls.
"The Summoning System will summon the true self into the system, and memories will be permanently retained, but it requires the summoned person's consent."
"Do you agree?" Night Shadow's voice was crisp and sweet.
His gaze seemed to bind Lin Su in place; she couldn't escape it, nor did she want to.
Lin Su wanted to be brave one more time.
He asked me if I agreed to be summoned.
Was the person he liked me?
Lin Su fell into those dark pupils, unwilling to struggle, murmuring, "I agree."
Just like that, his body was pulled into a strong embrace. Night Shadow trembled slightly, warm breaths brushing against Lin Su's neck. "Lin Su, I like you."

Night Shadow cupped Lin Su's face and gently kissed him, their eyes meeting as if sparks were flying.
The lingering kiss finally ended, and Lin Su, blushing deeply, asked him softly, "So, do we still need to go to the system?"
Night Shadow pecked at the corner of Lin Su's mouth, his eyes full of laughter. "I’m not good at interacting with you; I want to try the system. Would you be willing?"
Lin Su nodded gently, agreeing to enter the system together in half a month.
Just a few days after their sweet days began, Night Shadow's betrothed, Qi Meng, arrived.
She claimed she was there to schedule an appointment for Lin Su with the system but went directly to the Chongluan Data Center to see Night Shadow.
According to Long-Tongued Ghost, when Qi Meng saw Night Shadow, her eyes were glued to him.
She even accidentally drooled, overwhelmed by her emotions and radiating a rainbow-like glow.
Wherever Night Shadow went, she followed him, lingering until late at night and insisting on staying there.
She talked a lot about Night Shadow’s faults, but Lin Su knew that Night Shadow would never do such things.
However, hearing that Qi Meng was staying at the data center made Lin Su restless and unable to sleep.
He worried that Night Shadow might take a liking to the charming and adorable Qi Meng.
After tossing and turning several times, he saw Night Shadow standing by the window looking at him, a teasing smile on his face.
"Are you worried I’ll be taken down by her?"
Having his thoughts guessed correctly, Lin Su blushed and grabbed a pillow to throw at him. He caught it effortlessly and lay down beside Lin Su.
"I happen to have nowhere to go tonight, so please let me stay with you for one night."
In the following days, Night Shadow and Qi Meng Cat chased each other like cats and mice.
It seemed there was no chance of seeing Night Shadow again. I heard that when Qi Meng went to complain to the Big Company CEO, the boss was holding a letter from Night Shadow in his hand, looking quite angry.
The letter contained just four words: "If you want to marry, marry."
