I suddenly pushed General Hu aside and lunged toward Zhao Mengmeng, shielding her beneath me. 0

"Mengmeng, are you okay?" I asked anxiously. 0

Zhao Mengmeng shook her head, tears welling in her eyes. "Brother Haotian, I'm scared!" 0

I held her tightly, a wave of fear washing over me. 0

I roared, "General Hu, you’re asking for death!" 0

Just as I was about to rise, a sharp pain shot through my head, as if my temples were about to explode. 0

I clutched my head, sweat pouring down uncontrollably. 0

"Hao Tian, what's wrong?" Si Tu Xiangnan rushed over to support me. 0

"I'm fine, just a little dizzy," I gritted my teeth and replied, forcing myself to stay upright. 0

"This is bad; I've noticed that sometimes your sweat isn't effective," Si Tu Xiangnan said with a frown. 0

A heaviness settled in my heart. 0

In truth, I had already realized that my sweat wasn't always effective. 0

Just like before, the Stinky Socks hadn't always worked either. 0

I analyzed the reasons, but I dared not speak to anyone about it. 0

Because the ineffective Stinky Socks were what I wore when I was throwing the game. 0

And the ineffective sweat was basically produced by me sweating through thick clothing. 0

I never expected that the Sweat gained from slacking off and from doing bad things would be of no use in the apocalypse. 0

At that moment, Li Fengzhu rushed over and kicked several zombies that were pouncing towards us away. 0

“Hao Tian, take a break. Leave this to me!” Li Fengzhu shouted loudly. 0

I nodded, knowing I couldn't be reckless right now. 0

I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. 0

“Si Tu, what’s the situation now?” I asked. 0

“ General Hu hasn’t died; he’s secretly gathering the remaining forces,” Si Tu Xiangnan said with a serious expression. “They are likely to launch a final counterattack!” 0

“What?!” I was shocked; that bastard was indeed not so easy to kill. 0

“There’s worse news,” Si Tu Xiangnan continued. “Our people discovered a secret base nearby, and it might be hiding a Biochemical Weapon.” 0

A chill ran through my heart at the mention of "Biochemical Weapon." If General Hu succeeded, the entire city would be doomed! 0

I had to stop him! 0

I glanced at the distant ruins, a strong sense of responsibility igniting within me. 0

"Situ, Mengmeng, I leave this to you," I said slowly, rising with determination in my eyes. "I need to destroy those Biochemical Weapons." 0

"No, it's too dangerous!" Jiang Jie quickly protested. 0

"That's right, Brother Haotian, we can't let you go alone!" Zhao Mengmeng tugged at my sleeve. 0

"Trust me, I can do this," I reassured them, my tone filled with unwavering conviction. 0

I pulled a piece of paper from my pocket and quickly scribbled a few lines before handing it to Situ Xiangnan. 0

"Take care of everyone," I said, looking into Situ Xiangnan's eyes earnestly. 0

He took the note, knowing that once I made a decision, no one could change my mind. 0

I turned and walked towards the ruins, each step firm and resolute. 0

The night wind brushed against my face; I could feel the fatigue in my body, but I knew I had to keep going. 0

This is not just for myself, but for those who trust me. 0

I wove through the ruins, surrounded by crumbling walls and an eerie atmosphere. 0

At last, I found the secret base—a massive underground entrance. 0

Taking a deep breath, I stepped inside without hesitation. 0

The interior of the base was filled with a pungent chemical smell, with complex pipes and instruments everywhere. 0

I saw those Biochemical Weapons—huge tanks filled with unknown liquids. 0

I had to destroy them! 0

Just then, General Hu appeared, standing before me with a sinister smile on his face. 0

"Jiang Haotian, you actually came," General Hu sneered. "Did you really think you could stop me?" 0

" General Hu, your scheme will not succeed!" I shouted angrily. 0

"Hahaha, do you think you're still a hero? You're past your prime; your Sweat is running low, hahaha!" General Hu mocked, pointing at me. 0

I let out a cold laugh. My Sweat was indeed nearly depleted, but I still had one last trick up my sleeve! 0

I charged at General Hu, tackling him to the ground. 0

I straddled him, raining down punch after punch on his face. 0

"You bastard, how many people have you killed?" I shouted in fury. 0

General Hu's face was bruised and battered as he begged for mercy. 0

"Stop, please! I was wrong! I won't do it again!" he pleaded. 0

"It's too late!" I roared, pulling out a dagger and plunging it fiercely into General Hu's heart. 0

"Thud!" 0

Blood splattered as General Hu's eyes widened in disbelief and terror. 0

I stood up, surveying the area, summoning the last of my strength to destroy all the Biochemical Weapons. 0

"Boom!" 0

A deafening explosion shook the entire base violently. 0

I felt a wave of dizziness wash over me, and my vision blurred. 0

I collapsed weakly among the ruins, my consciousness gradually fading. 0

I seemed to see Zhao Mengmeng crying, Li Fengzhu shouting in anger, and Jiang Jie bandaging wounds. 0

Would they… would they be okay? 0

Suddenly, I heard a familiar voice—Jiang Jie’s voice. 0

“Hao Tian, what does the note you left me mean?” 0

I struggled to open my eyes, but I couldn’t see anything clearly. 0

As my awareness continued to dissipate, I seemed to hear Jiang Jie analyzing my sweat. 0

“It’s not Socks itself, but the diligent Sweat; it’s the love for the survivors that gives it strength…” 0

The corners of my mouth lifted slightly, a trace of a comforting smile appearing on my face. 0

So that’s how it is… 0

I slowly closed my eyes, and my consciousness completely vanished. 0
