Everyone seemed not to hear, as they remained stunned and unable to regain their composure. Below the platform was a massive black coffin suspended by iron chains, measuring over ten meters in length. To their astonishment, within the half-open coffin sat a giant nearly ten meters tall! 0

The giant had human-like facial features but lacked a nose. Its body was covered with a layer of hard, brownish-yellow, scaly skin resembling that of a lizard. Its limbs were similar to those of a human, with a pattern of irregular cracks covering its entire body. It wore a special black armor made from an unknown material, but there was a gaping black hole in its chest, clearly indicating it had been mortally wounded before crawling into the coffin. It had not even managed to close its eyes before losing its life forever. 0

"Is this... an alien? It's enormous!" The humans stood before the giant lying in the coffin, appearing like miniature figures in comparison. 0

"Is this what an Advanced Intelligent Civilization looks like?" The captain eagerly pulled out a camera, ready to film. Clearly, this vast space served as a massive sleeping chamber or perhaps a grand burial hall for the giants. But the sheer number of coffins hanging around was staggering. Had these Advanced Intelligent Civilizations encountered some catastrophic disaster? 0

"Hey, what's that?" One person pointed at the giant's right hand, which hung limply inside the coffin, holding a crystal-clear Crystal Cube. 0

Lu Feifan and another person jumped into the coffin and were surprised to find numerous diamond-shaped colorful crystals inside. Lu Feifan picked up one of the crystal Magic Cubes, which originally measured one meter in height and width but shrank into his hand while shimmering with blue light. He gazed at this wondrous cube in amazement. 0

"Bring it here; don't throw it away," the captain instructed Lu Feifan. 0

Lu Feifan bounced over with the aid of zero gravity while another astronaut still rummaged through the coffin excitedly shouted. 0

"Look! I found an ancient scroll in its hand!" The astronaut held up a bundle of golden scrolls made from some ancient beast skin as if it were a treasure. 0

"Hurry, let me see!" The captain put away his camera and clapped his hands in excitement. 0

The astronaut handed the scroll to the captain, who opened it to find several lines written on it. The text appeared to be composed of special formulas and strange symbols. He thought he would understand it but realized he could not decipher it at all and decided to put it away. 0

"Keep looking for anything else!" the captain urged. 0

Suddenly, just as the astronaut was about to turn around and continue searching for other useful items within the Metal Spirit Coffin, there was a loud bang! 0

His body suddenly stiffened as a long object covered in dense, sharp spikes pierced through him, radiating a chilling white light. It spun continuously before retracting from the astronaut's body, shrinking and flying back to a massive metal cabinet suspended hundreds of meters above! 0

Inside that cabinet was a creature unlike any he had ever seen. Its body was adorned with golden spikes and took on a liquid black form, constantly shifting and morphing. It extended several spikes, aiming them in this direction, then transformed into a spiky, spherical monstrosity! 0

The astronaut who had been pierced fell into the giant's vast maw, clearly with no chance of survival. 0

“Liu Bo!” Huang Zhu shouted, trying to rush forward but was held back by Ma Hong. 0

“Run!” Lu Feifan urged, observing the strange entities emerging from the large cabinets hanging in the high space around them. They all raised their spikes and emitted hissing mechanical sounds as they moved closer. 0

The three turned to flee, but the surrounding creatures multiplied like a tide, surging from all directions and frantically closing in on the three humans racing toward the exit. 0

“At this rate, none of us will escape. I’ll draw them away!” Ma Hong declared, leaping down from one suspended cabinet to another. Sure enough, a portion of the monsters crazily pursued Ma Hong. 0

Lu Feifan grabbed Huang Zhu, who clutched tightly onto a bundle of ancient scrolls—the only thing he had obtained inside this Ancient Battleship—valued more than his own life; there was no way he would abandon it. 0

“Ah…” A short scream from Ma Hong echoed through the communication channel; it seemed he had met with misfortune. 0

Huang Zhu suddenly shoved the scrolls into Lu Feifan’s hands. “Take it back!” 0

Without hesitation, Lu Feifan thrust the scrolls back into Huang Zhu’s grasp and pushed him out of the space filled with the massive Metal Spirit Coffin. He then turned to clutch a spare Metal Can against his chest. It had a red button; pressing it would trigger a nuclear bomb explosion. This was special equipment given to him for emergencies—if anything went wrong here, he would use it to destroy this enormous Ancient Battleship. He never expected he would actually need it now; when he first carried it jokingly, he never thought Lu Feifan’s words would come true. 0

Sweat dripped from his forehead as he looked up at the thronging creatures continuously shifting forms and merging into one another. They ultimately coalesced into a gigantic Liquid Monster that towered over the doorway, while other Liquid Monsters surrounded it, merging together. Lu Feifan faced several of these creatures. 0

They emitted strange, furious cries and extended various liquid tendrils and metallic appendages but dared not approach Lu Feifan. It seemed they feared something about him. Lu Feifan found this odd but focused on buying time for Huang Zhu’s escape with all his might. 0

The creature was about to surge forward but quickly retreated because... 0

Suddenly, a beam of light enveloped Lu Feifan! 0

Lu Feifan looked up abruptly, realizing that the Crystal Cube he had found earlier with Ling Jiu was now floating above him. It emitted a fierce blue glow, which intensified and began to detach rapidly! 0

The monster started to scream incessantly, closing in even more, now just a body’s length away from Lu Feifan. The surrounding space felt incredibly constricted. Lu Feifan took half a step back, clutching the Glory Bomb as he faced off against the massive creature! 0

The Liquid Monster rolled and completely surrounded Lu Feifan, shrouding him and the exit in darkness. Only the Crystal Cube emitted a faint light, illuminating Lu Feifan as it continuously broke apart into independent blocks, flying back towards him with a series of sharp sounds, assembling into a spinning Crystal Disc! 0

“Number 4, please respond! What exactly is happening? Hurry back!” The urgent roar of Long Chui echoed through the channel. Lu Feifan suddenly recalled the fierce face that had been in front of him, which felt oddly warm. 0

“Sorry, Commander, but I’m afraid I have to disobey orders again…” At that moment, he calmly explained into the channel, “Heh, it’s really damn cold here—dark and gloomy. Home is so much better; I could be drinking warm Red Star Erguotou…” 0

“What the hell are you rambling about! Follow my orders immediately! I command you to retreat! Do you hear me!” 0

On the other end, Long Chui shouted into the microphone with barely contained emotion, sounding somewhat angry and irrational. No one had ever seen her like this; even everyone in the base fell silent, listening intently to the conversation. 0

After a long pause, Lu Feifan’s response came through the channel, tinged with a sense of desolation. 0

“Commander, I can’t go back. From now on… no one will dare to peek at you while you’re bathing again!” 0

At that moment, Lu Feifan couldn’t help but let out a self-deprecating laugh. In the end, he wouldn’t be returning alive; what a damn pointless mission this was. He cursed inwardly. 0

Roar! 0

The strange creature could no longer contain itself, creating an overwhelming aura as it raised its liquid-like body, surging like a tidal wave. Countless sharp spikes sprouted from it, resembling a writhing wall of thorns with a fierce visage, roaring as it charged towards Lu Feifan! 0

"Come on, beast!" 0

This was the last sentence heard by everyone on the communication channel—heroic and resolute, fearless in the face of death. 0

Lu Feifan pressed the red button, and at that moment, the last piece of the Crystal Cube flew into the reassembled Crystal Roulette above him, spinning wildly in synchrony. 0

Immediately after, a blinding light erupted from the Type Nuclear Bomb, dazzlingly radiant. The white light descending from the disk burst forth like holy light, engulfing both the monstrous creature lurking in the darkness and the undaunted Lu Feifan in a fierce tidal wave. 0

Meanwhile, Huang Zhu had already boarded the departing Cosmic Capsule. The violent tremors propelled the Cosmic Capsule far away. Behind it, an explosion of light erupted from the Ancient Battleship, triggering a chain reaction of detonations. He turned to look at the apocalyptic scene outside the hatch, where it seemed as if the sun itself was boiling over. Tears streamed down his face as he tightly clutched the bundle of ancient scrolls in his arms—scrolls that had been exchanged for the lives of several companions. 0

Little did he know that many years later, the contents of those scrolls would be translated into something profoundly desolate: 0

"We are lonely wanderers from the dark void... The destroyers of civilization forced our kin to detonate massive hydrogen bombs. We have forever lost our homeland. Those Fellows are about to break through the walls of void; we are the last hope. We plan to use the Dimension Cube to stop them. 0

May there be a civilization that remembers the glory and contributions of Mardek Planet Civilization. There is no victory without sacrifice. May light and faith illuminate our people in this dark hour..." 0
