Zhang Xuemei was also taken aback, but being a woman of the world, she quickly composed herself and said to Li Qiang, "Qiang Zi, you should hide in that corner over there. Wait for the right moment to slip away."
Li Qiang, lacking experience in such matters, found her suggestion reasonable and hurried toward the corner of the courtyard.
"Damn it, what are you doing, woman? You’re not trying to sneak a man while I’m not home, are you?" Zhu Jiarong impatiently knocked on the iron gate again, making it clang loudly.
"Pah! It’s your mother who’s sneaking around! I’m taking a shower!" Zhang Xuemei shot back without a hint of shame. As she cursed, she quickly put on her clothes and walked over to open the gate. Upon seeing Zhu Jiarong, she became even more aggressive in her insults. "You useless piece of trash! Don’t say I’m sneaking around; even if I were, what could you do about it? Blame yourself for being useless. Besides, aren’t you out there messing with other men’s wives? What’s wrong? You can’t stand it when someone else messes with your wife?"
Zhu Jiarong's anger dissipated at Zhang Xuemei's words. He forced a sheepish smile and said, "Hey, wife, look at what you’re saying. How could I be useless?" He then pulled out a small bottle from his pocket and waved it in front of her. "Do you know what this is? Heh heh, all those rich and powerful men in the city love this stuff!"
"What is it?" Zhang Xuemei asked suspiciously. She snatched the bottle from his hand and examined it closely before exclaiming, "Pah! Zhu Jiarong, you scoundrel! If you’re useless, that’s one thing, but buying this kind of aphrodisiac? Aren’t you afraid that if you take too much of this junk, it’ll be even worse? If I end up cheating right in front of you, don’t say a word!"
Li Qiang, hiding nearby, wanted to laugh but dared not. Normally, Zhu Jiarong was quite imposing in the village; everyone respected him because he held some authority. But seeing him get scolded like this by Aunt Xue Mei at home made Li Qiang think to himself, "What a coward!"
Zhu Jiarong was unaware that someone was watching. He noticed that Zhang Xuemei had only thrown on a piece of clothing and that her fair thighs were swaying enticingly before him. A stirring sensation arose within him.
He usually had affairs with other men’s wives and hadn’t been intimate with Zhang Xuemei for quite some time. Sometimes he wanted to be with her, but she would refuse. Since he had no shortage of women, he let it go.
However, today as he looked at his wife, he felt a thrill akin to newlyweds reuniting after a separation. Moreover, he was curious to test whether this little treasure really worked as well as they said it did. If it did work well, perhaps he could try it out on some of the village's flirtatious women…
"Heh heh, wife, let’s have a good time today; I want to show off in front of you!" Zhu Jiarong exclaimed as he pulled Zhang Xuemei into his arms.
"Ah!" Startled by his sudden embrace, Zhang Xuemei gasped. "What are you doing? You scared me!" Her expression shifted to one of discomfort as she remembered Li Qiang was still hiding nearby. But then again, the thought of being watched while being intimate with her husband excited her; she felt herself growing wet once more…
"Hey, my dear wife, let's go!" Zhu Jiarong saw that Zhang Xuemei's resistance was not very strong and thought she was just shy, so he eagerly grabbed the potion and gulped it down. Then, he ripped off Zhang Xuemei's clothes and embraced her passionately...
A few minutes later...
"Get off me already!" Zhang Xuemei snapped, her teeth grinding in frustration. Useless man, he couldn't even compare to Li Qiang. Li Qiang was not only well-endowed but also incredibly enduring; she had lost count of how many times she had felt pleasure with him. The thought made her heart race again...
Zhu Jiarong felt deflated, the vigor he had moments ago vanished. He hung his head, holding the small bottle in his hand, cursing, "Those bastards tricked me! Damn it, this thing is useless and cost me three hundred bucks..."
His heart ached; three hundred bucks! He had gone on a business trip to the county with the Secretary. Li Qiang watched the couple with amusement and chuckled to himself, "Damn it, women really know how to cry and make a scene. Luckily, I caught on early; I better avoid marrying someone like that in the future!"
Zhu Jiarong recounted everything that had happened. Zhang Xuemei felt guilty about her own secrets and decided not to press him further. She asked, "You and Ge Tianbao are up to no good again; by the way, what were you two doing in the county?"
Seeing that his wife was no longer angry, Zhu Jiarong finally felt relieved. He said, "What else can we do? Just get criticized, as usual.
