"Alright, it's my fault. Please don't cry; just hit me," he said as he took her hand and pressed it against his chest.
Initially, Ye Ya hadn't intended to cry, but hearing him say that suddenly made her feel an urge to weep. So she raised her fist and actually punched him in the chest. Lu Tianyang didn't make a sound and allowed her to vent; he knew he was being a jerk.
After a while of hitting him, Ye Ya sniffled as Lu Tianyang pulled her close. "I'm sorry; I didn't mean it. I just missed you. Please don't be angry."
"No," Ye Ya said as she tried to push him away but found herself held even tighter.
"Then what do you want me to do so you won't be angry?" This woman was even harder to appease than Chen Chen.
"From now on, you can't bully me," Ye Ya stated her demand, but it was an impossible request. How could he possibly watch her every day without touching her? Even a monk would find that difficult.
"Can we change that, Xiao Ya? Are you trying to suffocate me?" Lu Tianyang felt helpless; the request was inhumane.
"Unless I agree, you can't touch me. It can't be like it was just now," Ye Ya thought about it and felt terrified. Engaging in something neither of them wanted was truly frustrating.
"Then when will you agree?" What if this woman never consented? Would he have to live like a monk for the rest of his life? He was a passionate man; surely that wasn't fair.
"That depends on your performance. Do you not want to agree?" Ye Ya peeked out from his embrace and looked at him.
Lu Tianyang couldn't help but gasp, nodding helplessly. "Unless you take the initiative to kiss me right now, I won't agree. Ye Ya, you have to give me some benefits; I'm a man."
"You scoundrel, shameless!"
"If you don't kiss me, then I won't agree to what happened earlier. That's too inhumane," Lu Tianyang lamented helplessly.
"No!" Ye Ya suddenly grabbed his collar, closed her eyes, and quickly pecked him on the lips. Then she lowered her head like ripe rice in autumn. Lu Tianyang shifted his body closer to Ye Ya, pulling her into his embrace. "I promised not to touch you, but I just held you for a moment and got warm. Be good and sleep; those dark circles under your eyes are getting worse."
"You pervert," Ye Ya said, pinching him hard. She stopped struggling and allowed him to hold her. Being embraced by this man actually felt quite nice.
He chuckled softly and kissed her forehead. "Be good and sleep."
In the past, she had resisted him so much, let alone lying in his arms like this. It seemed they had to take things slowly; as long as she didn't resist him, that was enough.
The moon rose at some point, casting a gentle silver light across the room.
The next day, the Lu Family held a new product launch event, a key project for Lu Group. As the president of Lu Group, Lu Tianyang attended the press conference.

He surveyed the crowd before leaving like a king.
This President Lu was going to marry that woman who had been rejected by the Jing Family instead of the Second Young Lady of the Ye Family. “What did that jerk say on TV?” Ye Ya was stunned, feeling like a wooden chicken. Had he lost his mind? How could he publicly announce this on television?
Ye Ya abruptly hung up the phone and went into her room to turn on the computer. To her shock, the news had already made the headlines.
