Hearing Qi Fan's words, Tao Momo threw a pillow at him. "Qi Fan, you're not human! How can you say that?" She was frustrated, realizing she had no experience in this area compared to his wealth of knowledge. The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. "You must have been with so many women before; otherwise, how could you be so experienced? I don't want to talk to you anymore!"
Qi Fan hugged her and chuckled. "Mo Mo, from now on, you'll be the only one for me. You're exclusive to me. Just relax; we'll go back to see your parents in the afternoon. I'll make you breakfast."
Tao Momo huffed and looked at him skeptically. "You can make breakfast? A rich kid like you?"
Qi Fan felt he had to prove himself today; otherwise, she'd think he couldn't do anything. "Just lie down. I only know how to make Western food. I'll call you when it's ready. I was surprised when I cleaned up after you last night."
"Jerk! You still want to talk about breakfast?" Tao Momo brought up last night’s incident, feeling embarrassed.
Qi Fan decided not to tease her anymore. He was speaking the truth; it was indeed time to take good care of her. After all, he wanted to be the one who made her feel cherished.
"Alright, I'll go make you breakfast," Qi Fan said with a smile, leaning down to kiss her forehead before heading into the kitchen.
Twenty minutes later, Qi Fan came back to call for Tao Momo but didn’t let her get out of bed. Instead, he carried her out. Tao Momo wrapped her arms around his neck. "Hey, I can walk by myself! I'm not disabled!"
"Nonsense! Just listen and don’t hurt yourself again. By the way, Mo Mo, I remembered I have some medicine; applying it should help." Qi Fan slapped his forehead, regretting not thinking of it last night. He should have applied it then.
"Qi Fan, can you stop bringing up last night? It's embarrassing!" Tao Momo rolled her eyes, feeling like she might explode from frustration as she took a sip of milk.
"Okay, let’s eat breakfast and replenish your energy," Qi Fan said with a laugh; he found her shyness endearing.
True to his word, Qi Fan prepared a Western-style breakfast: ham and egg sandwiches with a glass of milk. Tao Momo took a bite of the sandwich, and Qi Fan couldn’t help but ask, "Mo Mo, how does it taste?" In truth, he didn’t know how to make many dishes; this sandwich was one of his specialties.
Miss Tao's family ran a food stall, so naturally, Tao Ba's cooking skills were top-notch. Seeing Qi Fan's hopeful expression, she couldn’t bring herself to criticize him; after all, this was his first time making her breakfast.
"Not bad, keep it up," Tao Momo thought to herself. She needed to give Qi Fan some space to shine, so as not to dampen his confidence. After all, how many men were willing to cook these days?
"Alright, as long as you like it, I'll learn a couple more dishes," Qi Fan replied, grinning like a fool at her approval. Tao Momo felt her scheme was working.
Since Tao Momo was injured and hadn't gone home by the afternoon, Qi Fan decided to stay and let her rest for another night.
When Ye Ya heard from Qi Fan that Tao Momo wasn't feeling well, she urged him to take good care of her while she went to the office to handle some matters. She was so busy that she lost track of time until Lu Tianyang's call came in.
Lu Tianyang was displeased; it was already late and she still hadn't come home.
"Wife, do you see what time it is? Chen Chen has been calling for you," Lu Tianyang scolded the workaholic woman while holding their daughter on his lap. Chen Chen chimed in with a couple of cries, making Ye Ya feel guilty.
"Oh no, it's almost eight! I completely lost track of time. Honey, I'll pack up and be home soon," Ye Ya said, rubbing her forehead as she hurriedly gathered her things.
"Wife, drive slowly. I'll be waiting for you at home," Lu Tianyang reminded her again over the phone, worried she might rush. He thought it necessary to assign a capable assistant to help lighten her workload.
"Okay, don't wait for me to eat. Have something first," Ye Ya replied. Lu Tianyang's stomach wasn't great either, and she didn't want him to go hungry waiting for her.
Remembering Lu Tianyang's words about driving slowly, she recalled a slogan: Safety first, so you can go home.
A smile crept onto her lips. Although life was busy at the moment, it felt fulfilling. Her company with Tao Momo was gradually getting on track, and when the conditions were right, they could have their own professional designers and production factory.
Compared to Lu Tianyang's Lu Group, it might not seem like much, but it meant something different to her; this was something she had built on her own without relying on his power.
As Ye Ya drove towards Yiju Mountain Villa, she spotted a figure on the road. Frowning, she wondered why Ye Qi was in such a place. Zhao Meiqin would typically never allow Ye Qi near bars. She couldn't help but stop the car and watch as several boys surrounded Ye Qi.
Ye Qi was feeling particularly troubled that night. Her grandfather and father always compared her to Ye Ya, and she felt like she fell short in every aspect. Even her mother scolded her for not living up to expectations. After spending so much money on that dress, her mother was in a bad mood and often took it out on her.
Unable to bear the pressure any longer, Ye Qi stormed out and called two classmates to join her for drinks, who were friends of her classmates.
The young men looked at Ye Qi, who appeared shy and charming, and their thoughts quickly turned to desire. "Qi Qi, how about we have another drink?"
Ye Qi had already consumed several drinks at the bar and felt a bit dizzy, but she wasn't foolish enough to lose control completely. "No more drinks for me; I need to go home."
At that moment, a man with golden hair placed his hand on her shoulder. "Why are you going home so early, Qi Qi? Aren't you feeling down? I know a place that will definitely cheer you up."
Zhao Meiqin had always taught Ye Qi to be an elegant and refined lady, as she was destined to marry into a wealthy family. Thus, the family rules were quite strict for Ye Qi.
"I can't; I need to go home. Let go of me!" Ye Qi tried to push his hand away, but her strength was no match for the alcohol she had consumed—it felt like merely scratching an itch.
"What's the rush? I promise you'll feel great in a bit," he said, his hand becoming increasingly inappropriate. In a moment of desperation, Ye Qi bit down hard on his hand. The golden-haired man winced in pain and released her grip, giving Ye Qi the chance to escape.
However, when she looked back, the two classmates she had come with were nowhere to be seen. Panic set in as she faced the three men who now surrounded her. She tried to run but barely made it two steps before someone caught her.
"Refusing a toast only brings punishment; let's have some fun with you," the leader of the group said as he lifted her chin like an eagle catching its prey. Her skin was soft and smooth; it was clear she had been well taken care of—a prized catch.
Realizing what they intended to do, Ye Qi's face drained of color. "No! Let me go!" She struggled as they pulled her arms in opposite directions and shoved her into a car.
Meanwhile, Ye Ya saw Ye Qi being forced into the car by those men who clearly had ill intentions. Without hesitation, she jumped into her car and chased after them.
"What do you want? Let me go, you bastards!" Ye Qi shouted from the middle of the backseat, feeling utterly trapped.
"Little beauty, stop struggling," the driver smirked as he drove toward a nearby park.
After parking the car, Ye Qi trembled all over. "Don't touch me, get away!" In the cramped space of the vehicle, the three men stared at her like wolves. Ye Qi, who had been pampered since childhood, had never experienced anything like this. Now, she truly regretted coming out alone and even going drinking.
Ye Ya stopped the car and rushed over. Seeing those three scoundrels actually laying hands on Ye Qi inside the car, she knocked on the door. "Let her go!"
Ye Qi's clothes were torn and disheveled, her tears smudging her makeup. When she saw Ye Ya, she waved her hand desperately. "Sister, help me, save me!"
"Well, look at that, two sisters—this is perfect," one of the men in the car said as he released Ye Qi and stepped outside. "I've never played with sisters before; tonight is going to be quite enjoyable."
Ye Qi got out of the car and hid behind Ye Ya. "Sister, save me!"
Ye Ya looked at her sister's disheveled appearance; she had never seen Ye Qi in such a state before and had never heard her call her sister for help like this.
"Ye Qi, stand aside," Ye Ya said as she prepared to take action. If she didn't teach these shameless men a lesson, then she wouldn't be worthy of the Ye surname.
"Oh, this one has some spirit; I like it," the Golden Haired Man said as he approached Ye Ya to touch her, only to receive a kick from her in response. Now, the three men were cautious; this woman knew how to fight.
"Brothers, let's take her down together! We'll make her cry and scream!"
"Sister, be careful!" Ye Qi cried as she watched the three big men surround Ye Ya, unable to hold back her tears while trying to warn her.
Ye Ya glanced at the situation and decided to end it quickly. The most effective way to deal with men was to kick low. As a black belt in Taekwondo, she struck with precision—she didn't even know if she had incapacitated one of them.
The leader of the men was the first to get kicked down, lying on the ground. "Fight back! This woman deserves to be beaten up!"
Before long, the other two men met a similar fate, all sprawled on the ground. Ye Ya took out her phone and called the police; she would not let these thugs go unpunished.
Seeing Ye Ya calling for help made Ye Qi anxious. "What if the police come? What will I do? If others find out about this, how can I ever face anyone again?"
"Calm down a bit. Do you really want to just let those three bullies go?" Ye Ya looked at her, ultimately unable to hold back. He took a jacket from the car and draped it over her shoulders.
"Thank you," Ye Qi said, lowering her head. She never expected Ye Ya would step in to help her, nor did she anticipate that his skills were so impressive. She thought to herself that if it were her, she definitely wouldn't have helped him. Was it true that her father and grandfather always spoke of him? She really didn't measure up.
"What are you doing out here alone? Does Xiao Ma know? Do you realize how dangerous it is for a girl like you to be in a place like this?" Ye Ya felt a surge of anger as he thought about it; he couldn't just stand by and do nothing.
Listening to Ye Ya's words, Ye Qi began to cry. "I ran out in anger! I didn't know it would turn out like this. If Mom finds out, she'll definitely kill me! What am I going to do?"
At that moment, the police arrived at the scene. They saw the three men lying on the ground, beaten, while another woman was crying in distress. Only Ye Ya remained completely calm.
"What happened here?" the police asked the only person at the scene who was still conscious.
