"No way, Lu Tianyang. Stop messing around! I really have a lot to handle. You stay home and keep Chen Chen company; I’ll be back as soon as I’m done." Ye Ya tried to explain patiently to this stingy man, knowing that when he got into a mood, he would send people to her company.
"Then come back early. I’ll go back to the office this afternoon and drive you," Lu Tianyang said as he got up too. With her in his arms, he felt completely healed; she was his remedy.
In the afternoon, Lu Tianyang drove Ye Ya to work before heading back to his own office. This was a significant step forward for them since their divorce. Upon returning to the office, Zuo Kai felt as if the president had come back to life; the atmosphere in the Lu Family was exceptionally good.
As he walked in with some documents, he couldn’t help but ask, "President, have you reconciled with Lady?"
Just yesterday, the president had looked so weak and ill. He hadn’t even taken the medicine sent by his secretary while running a fever. Yet miraculously, after one night, he seemed perfectly fine.

In the office, Tao Momo was pulling Ye Ya to help her pick an outfit. Although Tao Momo was a designer herself, she felt nervous and unsure about what to wear for the occasion.
“Xiao Ya, can you help me decide which outfit I should wear? This time, it’s really a meeting between both our parents,” Tao Momo said, feeling the pressure. If things didn’t go well this time, her relationship with Qi Fan might truly be over. Her parents had made it clear that they only had one daughter and wouldn’t let her suffer like this.
Seeing the usually carefree and energetic Tao Momo so anxious made Ye Ya gently grip her shoulders. “Mo Mo, even if you just throw something on, you’ll look a hundred times better than those high-society ladies. Don’t be nervous; take a deep breath.”
Tao Momo took a big breath. “Xiao Ya, I’m really worried. My parents were already very upset last time. If something goes wrong tonight, Qi Fan and I are finished.” Ultimately, it was all about the Qi Family’s issues. Although Qi Fan had repeatedly assured her that there wouldn’t be any problems this time.

“It’s okay; true love can overcome anything. I married and divorced Lu Tianyang, but in the end, those who love each other will always find their way back together.” Ye Ya nodded, giving her a reassuring and encouraging look.
“Alright, I’ll do my best tonight.” With Ye Ya’s comfort, Tao Momo finally felt a bit more composed after taking another deep breath.
Afterward, Ye Ya returned to her office and personally called Qi Fan. “Hello, is this Qi Fan?”
“Sister-in-law, what can I do for you?” Hearing Qi Fan call her sister-in-law made Ye Ya raise an eyebrow. Qi Fan was Lu Tianyang’s best friend, and Mo Mo was her good sister. “Qi Fan, Mo Mo has put a lot of effort into preparing for tonight’s meeting with the parents. Don’t let her down or make her sad; otherwise, I won’t hold back.”
Ye Ya was different from Tao Momo; although Tao Momo seemed fierce at times, she wasn’t very intimidating. But Ye Ya? When she threw a punch, she meant business.
“I understand. Don’t worry; I’m serious about Mo Mo. I will treat her well.” Qi Fan replied earnestly. He had been working on his family’s mindset and noticed that his mother’s attitude had softened. He believed tonight would be successful because he was determined to marry Mo Mo; his mind was made up.
“That’s good to hear.” After hanging up the phone, Ye Ya thought about it—Mo Mo’s situation was much better than hers had been back then.
She remembered how everyone in the city knew about her marriage to Lu Tianyang but hadn’t anticipated how important social status could be. Now with Chen Chen around and the company running smoothly again, life seemed manageable. Whether or not Lu Tianyang remarried didn’t feel as significant anymore; perhaps their current relationship was better suited for them both.
In the afternoon, Qi Fan personally picked Tao Momo up from the company, while Ye Ya could only hope that everything would go smoothly for them tonight.
Sitting in Qi Fan's car, Tao Momo glanced at him but didn't know what to say. Qi Fan held her hand briefly and said, "Mo Mo, don't overthink it. First, let's go pick up my parents. I promise they won't be unhappy this time."
"Okay, Qi Fan. If your mom really can't accept me, I won't force it," Tao Momo replied, having come to terms with the situation. If someone didn't like you, no matter what you did, it wouldn't change their feelings. This kind of mindset couldn't be altered overnight.
"Mo Mo, have a little faith and don't be afraid," he said as he fastened her seatbelt and kissed her forehead.
Tao Momo nodded. Qi Fan drove to pick up Tao Family's parents first before heading to the hotel together. This hotel was booked by Qi Fan and was naturally the best one available.
When Tao Ba and Tao Ma entered the hotel, they found that Qi Family's members had yet to arrive at the private room. Given Tao Ma's good-natured personality, she couldn't help but ask after ten minutes had passed, "Qi Fan, do your parents not have the sincerity to come? If they don't mean it, then this dinner will be meaningless."
"Qi Fan, we won't oppose your relationship with Mo Mo as long as she is happy. However, if your family thinks that our Tao Family is unworthy of you, then Mo Mo doesn't have to marry into a wealthy family," Tao Ba said, recalling the last time when Qi Family had canceled their meeting. If they did the same again this time, there would be no point in discussing this engagement.
Qi Fan quickly poured tea for his parents. "Uncle, Auntie, I just called; there's traffic on the road and they'll be here soon. Why don't you order some dishes in the meantime?"
"Mom, don't you love the dim sum from this hotel? You should take a look since Qi Fan is paying today," Tao Momo smiled as she handed the menu to her mother while feeling a bit anxious inside.
