Ye Ya was furious. Why on earth was he doing a property notarization? Did he think she would only love him if he had money? Did he believe that without wealth, she wouldn't care for him? Did he think she was like those women outside who just wanted to climb into his bed?
She was perfectly fine; what was the point of this ridiculous property notarization? Ye Ya stomped on it with her foot, pressing down hard as she sat in front of the vanity, almost wanting to draw a little figure on it.
Lu Tianyang walked over and saw her fuming. He thought she would be happy about it. "Wife, I’m doing this to give you more security. Don’t all those couples have their husbands’ salary cards managed by their wives? I earn money for you to spend because I want to."
"Who wants your money? What’s the point of this property notarization? If the Lu family finds out, they might think I’ve drugged you," Ye Ya said, getting angrier. In truth, she was scared of what this idiot had said; if anything happened to him, at least their lives would be secured.
"You silly girl, do you know how many women are after my money? You’re the only fool who gets mad at me for giving you a property notarization. You stepped on my foot just now, and it still hurts," Lu Tianyang sighed. Women’s moods were truly unpredictable, especially his wife; she was the hardest to figure out.
"You deserve it! I don’t want this; you need to change it tomorrow. Just live well," Ye Ya thought to herself, recalling how hard she had stomped earlier in her anger.
Lu Tianyang held her hand and pulled her close. "Wife, everything that’s mine is yours, and what’s yours is still yours. Don’t women like it this way?"
"Lu Tianyang, I think money isn’t as important as people. Do you understand? I’m afraid this place feels like a hotel; you might just stay for a while and leave," Ye Ya really didn’t like this kind of relationship; it always felt so insecure to her.
"I understand. I won’t leave; this is home, not a hotel." He knew that today when they returned to the Ye family, she must have felt wronged again. He gently patted her head. "Wife, if the Ye family bullies you again, don’t go back. If you must go back, wait for me to accompany you; don’t keep suffering."
"I wasn’t bullied. They know we’re divorced and think I have no value anymore. Grandpa is quite angry; Xiao Ma is just watching the show. Dad is okay, but Ye Qi seems interested in you now, brother-in-law." After saying that last part, Ye Ya smiled.
"What would they think if they knew all my assets are under your name? Brother-in-law? Wife? You’ll be punished for saying the wrong thing," Lu Tianyang suddenly picked her up and tossed her onto the bed. How dare she call him brother-in-law? That was too much!
"Lu Tianyang, stop touching me everywhere; just hold me." She had no other thoughts; she just wanted him to hold her. If he didn’t love her, why would he make her worry so much?
Hearing her words, Lu Tianyang pulled her up from the bed and held her tightly. "Wife, is this okay?"
"Yes, Lu Tianyang, I like it when you hold me like this." She wrapped her arms around his waist; it felt wonderful as if they could hear each other's heartbeat.
After about ten minutes, Lu Tianyang had been wanting to take things further. "Wife, how about we do something else?" With that said, his hand began to wander restlessly, quietly slipping under her nightgown.
Ye Ya was already feeling sleepy. "Honey, I'm tired, let's not."
Hearing her call him "honey" melted Lu Tianyang's heart. He whispered softly in her ear, "Wife, I want to, just a little bit, and then I'll let you sleep."
Ye Ya half-opened her eyes. "You always lie, saying it's just a little bit, but it always takes so long."
Lu Tianyang smiled wryly; some people couldn't even last long enough when they wanted to. But seeing her drowsy and cute like this made him want to tease her. He gently kissed her lips. "Be good, it really will be just a little."
Afterward, Ye Ya was so exhausted that she lost track of how long that "little" lasted and fell asleep right on top of him.
Lu Tianyang felt an inexplicable softness in his heart as he held the sleeping woman in his arms. He thought he could give anything for this silly woman—even his life.
Meeting her made him realize how deeply one could love another person. Even with so many women around him, none could compare to her.
Ye Ya slept soundly until the next morning. When she opened her eyes and saw that she was once again half-draped over Lu Tianyang, she thought to herself, that rascal had tricked her again.
Oh well, she decided not to hold it against him; otherwise, she'd just provoke him again. Morning men were not to be trifled with; it was always herself who ended up suffering.
"Wife, good morning," Lu Tianyang said as he held her tightly, preventing her from getting out of bed.
"Good morning! It's time to get up; the sun is already out." Ye Ya tried to throw off the covers and get up, but before her feet even touched the ground, he pulled her back. As a result, she bumped into a certain part of him, which immediately reacted.
"Wife, you started this fire; you have to help put it out," Lu Tianyang said with a mischievous grin. He wouldn't let such a golden opportunity slip by. Besides, they could always have another child; wasn't Chen Chen going to have company?
"Lu Tianyang, enough already! We don't need to get up right away." She protested without restraint. What if she really got pregnant? She didn't want that; the company had just started developing.
But given the current situation, it was unlikely this man would let her off easily. After some searching in the drawer, she pulled out something for him. "Lu Tianyang, here."
Lu Tianyang glanced at her and frowned. "Wife, there's no need for that."
"Then are you going to let me take the medicine? The company just started developing, and you said I was pregnant. All my previous efforts would be in vain." Ye Ya placed great importance on her career; a woman should have her own career so that she could speak with confidence in front of the Lu Family.
"Then I'll use it. It's nice for us to enjoy our time together as a couple," Lu Tianyang said helplessly, resorting to using that thing.
Ye Ya didn’t mind this situation; after all, it would delay her work time.
When she returned to the office, Tao Momo looked at her and pointed to the back of her neck. "Damn, is Lu Tianyang that eager? Look here, Xiao Ya, it’s quite intense."
Ye Ya hadn’t noticed until Tao Momo mentioned it. She turned slightly and checked in the fitting mirror; indeed, her face immediately flushed red.
"Damn it, how am I supposed to meet clients like this? Mo Mo, think of a way to cover this up for me." Ye Ya cursed Lu Tianyang several times in her heart. Today’s client was very important, and that jerk had insisted on it again this morning, leaving her with even less time to prepare.
Tao Momo sighed. "Xiao Ya, has Lu Tianyang mentioned anything about remarrying? Isn’t this just giving him an advantage?"
"He wishes! I don’t agree. I think things are fine as they are; I don’t have to worry about the Lu Family's opinions. Besides, last night Lu Tianyang went crazy and had his assets notarized with me as the beneficiary." Ye Ya was still upset about that matter.
