Silence enveloped them as the car came to a stop, and Qiao Nuo realized they were not at Jin Mansion.
"Why did you bring me here?" Qiao Nuo asked, aware that this was a high-end club featuring various sports activities.
"To compete with me." With that, Jin Chengyan exited the vehicle and stood by the door, waiting for Qiao Nuo to follow.
Qiao Nuo looked at Jin Chengyan in surprise. He wore an expression that seemed to say she would regret it if she didn’t get out. In truth, she didn’t want to do anything at all; she just wanted to curl up in her room. Had she lost the right to be stubborn after losing her family?
Did she really have to play along with him? What did he mean by this?
Seeing that Qiao Nuo remained unmoving, Jin Chengyan leaned down, grasped her hand, and pulled her out of the car, leading her toward the club.
"Jin Chengyan, I don’t want to play with you right now. If you want to have fun, go find your friends. If you don’t take me home, I can just go back to Jin Mansion," Qiao Nuo said, her irritation growing. Jin Chengyan was being unreasonable.
However, Jin Chengyan ignored her protests. Amidst the respectful yet curious gazes of the club staff, he brought her to a climbing wall.
"If you beat me, I’ll take you home," he told Qiao Nuo as the staff brought over a full set of climbing gear.
"Mr. Jin, the equipment is ready."
"Good. You all can leave for now." The area was occupied by about ten coaches and staff members, but Jin Chengyan insisted they vacate the space.
“Mr. Jin…” The staff member wanted to mention that someone was left to ensure their safety, but the expression on Jin Chengyan's face made it impossible to say another word. The staff quickly left, leaving only Qiao Nuo and Jin Chengyan in the vast space.
Jin Chengyan tossed a set of ropes in front of Qiao Nuo and began to put on his own gear.
Qiao Nuo already felt a bit anxious, and with Jin Chengyan's actions, her discomfort only grew. She picked up the equipment from the ground and strapped it onto herself!
As long as she won, she could go home, right?

She used to enjoy activities that boys liked, such as rock climbing and hiking. Although she wasn't as skilled as a professional, she wasn't necessarily worse than this young master Jin Chengyan!
Once she secured the ropes around her body, Qiao Nuo stood with a defiant expression. When Jin Chengyan turned around, he saw her in that stance.
“If I win, you let me go,” Qiao Nuo declared, having completely forgotten that Jin Chengyan was the arrogant man he was.
He casually nodded. “There are differences between men and women; I’ll give you three steps.” He gestured politely, showcasing his gentlemanly demeanor.
“No need!”
“Very well.”
The two stood before a nearly vertical rock wall. Qiao Nuo gripped her hands tightly and looked up at the height of the wall. Thankfully, it wasn’t particularly high, and the footholds seemed quite reasonable. Yet, there was still a hint of anxiety on her face—a look that revealed the weight of her unspoken worries.
"Start!" With a command from Jin Chengyan, he and Qiao Nuo soared into the air, reaching for the first grip point as they ascended.
Focused on the competition, Qiao Nuo initially didn't notice Jin Chengyan's movements. After climbing about five meters, she suddenly realized how agile he was. She glanced over at him and was shocked to see that he had already surpassed her by a full body length!
His form was athletic, his footwork decisive and resolute. If she could see Jin Chengyan's eyes, she would notice the fierce determination in them—that was Jin Chengyan!
Taking a deep breath, Qiao Nuo told herself that even if Jin Chengyan was ahead of her, she would definitely surpass him!
Encouraging herself, she looked up and spotted a red grip point. She reached out to grab it, but when she looked down to find a foothold, she realized there were no suitable points!
But it was already too late; Qiao Nuo slipped!
"Ah—" Instinctively, she tried to grab onto something, but her body couldn't cling to the rock wall and began to fall backward!
From nearly ten meters high, when Qiao Nuo looked down, she felt a wave of dizziness wash over her!
