Qiao Nuo, already feeling exhausted, unknowingly fell asleep in Jin Chengyan's embrace. It was truly a remarkable thing.
She felt that his arms were particularly warm, as if she didn’t have to think about anything while there, allowing her to sleep peacefully.
Jin Chengyan sighed softly, sensing her steady breathing. He carefully carried her to the room, gently lifted the covers, and placed her inside.

"Perhaps no one is more demanding than you," he said, leaning against the headboard and allowing Qiao Nuo to hold onto his clothes.
He thought about how he had come to Jin Mansion because of Jin Zhongshu, yet here he was, becoming Qiao Nuo's support.
Just looking at her made him instinctively want to protect her, as if fearing she might suffer.

Jin Chengyan chuckled softly at his own feelings of compassion and his own masculinity.
