“Mom, Qiao Nuo just said ‘help me’ on the phone. I feel like something is off, so I asked A Shan to go check on her.”
“What’s happening?”
“Don’t worry, just go see if A Yan has woken up yet.” With that, Jin Mengli went to send A Shan to find Qiao Nuo.
Just as she took a couple of steps outside, she spotted Yan Beiting, who had come along with Yan Family Elder. Jin Mengli really wanted to pretend she didn’t see the two of them and walked straight past.
