“Mengmeng, we have found a possible location for the kidnappers, an abandoned factory in the east of the city,” Xiao Jianguo said, pointing at the red dot on the screen. “They chose to collect the ransom in the west but left the victim in the east. Jin Mengli's eyes, inherited from Jin Zhongshu, glinted with coldness at that moment.

Where could Qiao Nuo be? If she truly was with Ruan Shengyu, why had Ruan Shengyu emerged while she had not? Why had no one informed him that Ruan Shengyu would also be here?
He turned back, glaring at his subordinate.
“Did the young lady instruct you to keep something from me?” The only possibility he could think of was that Jin Mengli was deliberately hiding information from him.
The subordinate lowered his head in silence. Although Jin Mengli had married into the Chu Family, she remained a daughter that Jin Zhongshu and his wife were proud of. If she were a son, the family business would undoubtedly belong to her!

He realized he couldn't stay in the car any longer.
He immediately flung open the door, clutching his wound with one hand, and hurried toward the factory entrance.
“Jin Shao!” The doctor called out from behind him, but he didn’t look back.
In Jin Chengyan's mind, there was only one image: Qiao Nuo, weak and helpless, leaning against that man!
He shouted into his earpiece, “Move in!” He had seen clearly on the screen that aside from Qiao Nuo and that man, there was no one else at the scene!
Jin Chengyan couldn't wait any longer. Watching Qiao Nuo in their hands for even a second felt like being in a frying pan, cooked by hot oil! It was torture for him!
At Jin Chengyan's command, his subordinates suddenly emerged from their hiding spots, about thirty of them, all aiming their guns at Qiangzi and Qiao Nuo in front of the van!
“Let our Young Madam go! You’re out of options!” The leader shouted through a loudspeaker as they advanced step by step toward Qiangzi.
Qiangzi had been jolted awake from his dreams by a frantic call from his boss. He quickly realized that only one of the two hostages remained, and that one was lying in a pool of blood!
His boss immediately ordered him to move the hostage, so he quickly changed positions. He never expected to face such a large group armed to the teeth!
Qiangzi swiftly drew his gun from his waist and pressed it against Qiao Nuo's head.
Clearly unconscious, Qiao Nuo had no idea what was happening. Her hair was being yanked, and a cold weapon pressed against her temple! Blood trickled slowly from the back of her head!
“If you come any closer… I’ll kill her… I’ll kill her!” Qiangzi was nearly paralyzed with fear; with so many people around, he knew he couldn’t escape!
But as long as he had the hostage in his hands, there was still a chance to fight back!
With Qiao Nuo in his grasp, Jin Chengyan's men dared not move. If Qiangzi's gun went off and injured Young Madam, they could not bear the consequences!

The scene fell silent for three seconds, and then they saw Qiangzi's gun drop to the ground as he released his grip on Qiao Nuo's hand.
It was Jin Chengyan who had fired the shot, hitting Qiangzi in the wrist!
Once, he had been a sharpshooter!
With Jin Chengyan's shot, his subordinates rushed forward to restrain Qiangzi and pulled Qiao Nuo away from danger.
