As Jin Chengyan's car just pulled out of Jin Family Villa, a black vehicle suddenly blocked his path, moving recklessly. If it weren't for the superior performance of his car, he would have likely crashed into it!
Yan An City emerged from the vehicle, slamming the door shut before striding over to Jin Chengyan's window and knocking on it.

Jin Chengyan took the photos, which were from Africa, showing a frail Chinese man. The name was indeed Yan Beiting, but the person was not him.
"Liu Er, I don't have the energy to discuss this right now; I have other matters to attend to." Initially, when Yan Beiting sought him out alone, Jin Chengyan had speculated about his intentions.
Firstly, the situation with the Yan Family was unclear. If he told Yan An City, he wouldn't be able to keep it from his grandfather.
If he contacted his older brother Er Ge, it was likely that Yan Beiting would be dealt with before his identity was even exposed.
Secondly, Yan Beiting seemed to want to convey that he could give up everything for Qiao Nuo, urging Jin Chengyan to treat her well while fostering a sense of guilt within him.

Yan An City had every reason to be angry. Watching his grandfather grow increasingly frail and seeing the chaos at home due to Yan Beiting's prolonged absence forced him into this messy situation against his will.
However, knowing that Yan Beiting was safe for now eased Yan An City's heart somewhat.
After this confrontation with Yan An City, Jin Chengyan found himself surprisingly calm once he got into the car. Instead of heading toward Xiao Yuanshan, they drove toward Qiao Family Villa.
If Qiao Nuo were to leave, would she really leave Qiao Kawai behind? It was impossible for her to have a baby and just abandon Qiao Kawai!
When they arrived at Qiao Family Villa, before the car even came to a complete stop, Jin Chengyan jumped out and headed straight for the entrance.
To his surprise, the security guard refused him entry, claiming not to recognize Jin Chengyan and blocking his way!

At that moment, Qiao Chen was nowhere in sight, but Qiao Kawai came running in from the kitchen, holding a cute water cup. Upon seeing Jin Chengyan, she dashed over.
“Daddy, you finally came to see me! I missed you so much!” Qiao Kawai exclaimed. It had been a long time since she last saw Jin Chengyan. “I thought you didn’t love me anymore because you didn’t come to see me!”
Jin Chengyan felt a pang of affection at her words, but his mind was elsewhere.
Qiao Nuo had left without even taking Qiao Kawai with her. Was she determined to hide away in some place where no one could find her while having this child?
Just how much did she want to give birth to this baby?
Jin Chengyan shot a glance at Jin Mengxi; he would talk to her about her situation later.
He crouched down and ruffled Qiao Kawai’s hair, trying his best to keep his tone sounding normal.
"Sweetheart, has your mommy called you to say where she is?"
Qiao Kawai thought hard for a moment and then shook her head. "No, Mommy hasn't called. She went out with Godmother yesterday and hasn't come back since. I slept alone last night, and Mommy didn't read me a bedtime story. She needs to make it up to me today."
Jin Chengyan furrowed his brow. Qiao Nuo had suddenly disappeared without a trace, not even calling Qiao Kawai.
"What's wrong? Did you and Mommy have another fight? Is she ignoring you?" Although Qiao Kawai had never seen them argue, she sensed something strange in their atmosphere.
Jin Chengyan pinched Qiao Kawai's cheek gently. "No, you're overthinking it. How about you come stay with Daddy for a couple of days? I can take care of you."

This was the first time Ye Yun had lost his temper with Yan Beiting after such a long time.
The reason they chose to go to Canada instead of anywhere else was that the air quality there was good, and the medical facilities were excellent. It would allow Yan Beiting to recuperate properly. Otherwise, given his current condition, lasting another two years would already be a stretch.
“Stop talking about life and death; it’s ominous. Didn’t you say you haven’t been back to Qin Cheng for a long time? Why don’t we stay in Qin Cheng for a few more days? Ye Yun wondered if Yan Beiting owed something to Qiao Nuo and Jin Chengyan from a past life.
The two of them walked out from the departure area, preparing to hail a cab.

Yan Beiting stopped and followed Ye Yun's gesture. He saw a woman in a long trench coat, her head bowed and wearing a hat. As she got out of the car, the wind blew her wide-brimmed hat away.

"Qiao Nuo," Yan Beiting called softly. "Your eyesight is quite good," he teased lightly.
"I’m telling you, Yan Beiting, once we hand her over to Jin Chengyan, we’re leaving. Ten days? Forget about it!" Ye Yun was already thinking about calling Jin Chengyan, eager to hand Qiao Nuo over so everything could come to an end.
But Yan Beiting grasped Ye Yun's wrist.
"Let’s wait and see what she does," he said. He could understand Qiao Nuo's desire to have a child.
Four years ago, when he took Qiao Nuo out, it was the moment she learned that her child was gone. The despair in her eyes still lingered in Yan Beiting's mind.
Now that Qiao Nuo had a child, it was clear she would do everything in her power to keep the baby.
So it was no surprise that she left Jin Chengyan when he mentioned terminating the pregnancy.
Both of them wanted to protect their most precious possessions, but unfortunately, they could not come to a consensus.

The two of them followed Qiao Nuo and saw her retrieving a ticket from the self-service kiosk before heading toward security.
Fortunately, Yan Beiting also had a ticket in hand and smoothly passed through security, following her until he saw her waiting at Gate 35 for boarding.
This flight was headed to Shanghai. It seemed she was smart enough to know that big cities had better medical facilities.
However, flying made it easier for Jin Chengyan to track her down.
"Here, I got two tickets for the same flight as hers," Ye Yun said as she handed over the tickets.
But Yan Beiting took both tickets from her and tore one of them in half... tore it apart...
"You go find A Yan and tell him to hold off for now. Wait for my news."
Ye Yun looked at Qiao Nuo, who was sitting quietly, waiting for takeoff, then glanced at Yan Beiting to confirm he was not joking.
"You have to give me some time alone with Qiao Nuo, right? Can’t you fulfill this small wish of mine?" Yan Beiting said, half-teasing but mostly sincere.
Ye Yun could see that Yan Beiting wanted to avoid any regrets, and he had no other way to achieve that.
"To love someone who doesn't love you back is like trying to wake someone who is pretending to be asleep. Take care of yourself," was Ye Yun's final advice to Yan Beiting.
