Lin Qiang stepped a few paces closer and lowered his voice, "Oh! By the way, about that day when you and my brother saw Zhou Ting with me, please don't tell your Sister-in-law. She's pregnant and can't handle any stress right now."
I chuckled softly, thinking to myself, what difference does it make? With Wang Shuang's personality, the most that would happen is a fight with Lin Qiang; they wouldn't get a divorce.
I nodded lightly and brought the stewed pig's trotter soup into their room. Sister-in-law took a spoonful and said, "Isn't this pig's trotter soup supposed to be good for beauty? I haven't gotten any prettier, and my skin seems to be getting worse."
She looked at my fair, smooth skin with envy. "Xiaoxue, what skincare products do you usually use?"
"Could you bring me a set? I want to give it a try."
I smiled, recalling how in my previous life Sister-in-law not only borrowed my clothes but also took my cosmetics without asking.
I had gone to Wang Shuang to get my things back, but unexpectedly, when my mother-in-law found out, she gave all my stuff to Sister-in-law instead and said I was being petty.
This time around, I wouldn't let Wang Shuang take advantage of me so easily.
I pretended to agree. "Sure, I'll bring you a set tomorrow after work."
