Book Synopsis
In the later period of the Zhenguan Era of the Tang Dynasty, Ping Zhi Chang Rong faced both internal strife and external threats. The Zhenguan Era was nearing its end, and the Tuguhun was frequently troubled by Barbarians from the west. Additionally, there was the looming threat of Tuguhun, while the Northern and Eastern Turkic tribes were still a persistent concern. To the northeast, Goguryeo awaited Li Er's conquest, and Shiwey and Mohe were also stirring restlessly. Under the influence of many old ministers, Tubo and brothers Li Chengqian and Li Zhi seemed poised to repeat the events surrounding Li Zhi. Just at this moment, however, the incident at Xuanwu Gate, which Li Er cherished most, ended in a bizarre tragedy, triggering a storm both internally and externally.
Unexpectedly, Xu Zhen, a magician hailed as the Eastern Houdini, found herself transported through time and space. In Chang'an, she lived a life of idleness under the watchful eyes of local officials but soon found herself caught up in the unfolding chaos. Utilizing her wits, she began to stir up trouble in the Tang Dynasty.
