Book Synopsis

The story follows Xu Chi, who is on his way to Guangzhou in search of a job. On the train, he encounters a man named Luo Wen, who claims to be a fortune teller and predicts that Xu Chi will experience a stroke of romantic luck. Soon after, a beautiful and charming female attendant approaches Xu Chi, and their feelings for each other quickly intensify, reaching a peak in just one night. However, beneath this seemingly wonderful encounter lies a meticulously planned scam. Luo Wen exploits Xu Chi's relationship with the attendant to film intimate videos and blackmails him for money.
 
As events unfold, the truth gradually comes to light—Xu Chi had initially approached the attendant to investigate the truth behind his sister's suicide, only to find himself entangled in a much larger conspiracy. The narrative weaves through a series of complex emotional entanglements and suspenseful twists, exploring the delicate relationships between desire, deception, and trust while showcasing both the light and dark sides of human nature.
 
Ultimately, with the help of the police, justice is served, and both Xu Chi and the attendant find their own answers after enduring this tumultuous experience.
